Today is a special day, and I feel we should all come together to celebrate that great, holy elixir that is coffee.

Actually I think every drink is better than coffee. Last time I drank coffee (well ice coffee) was over 20 years.

Had my coffee maker set to go off at 7am. Normally that means I will wake up at 10am and find the pot already cold. But today I got up at 7:30, so my coffee was still hot!

I think I'm gonna switch to decaf, though. I don't need the caffeine. I just like drinking something hot to warm me up on these cold mornings.

Well, sure it is. Coffee comes in all sorts of forms.

I had four cups today... which, given the size of my mug, is probably the equivalent of eight regular cups. And I didn't even know it was National Coffee Day until this evening when I got home, about three hours ago.

(Three or four cups is my usual daily intake, anyway.)

Indeed it does! The coffee that I get for free in the breakroom at work is just as real as that fancy stuff you get at Starbucks or Scooters. True, the cheap coffee often tastes like it's been filtered through a pair of used boxer shorts, but as long as it gives that caffeine buzz, I figure it's done its job.

Oh, and IMHO, whoever invented the concept of decaf should be shot without trial. I'm just sayin'.

The coffee that I get for free in the breakroom at work is just as real as that fancy stuff you get at Starbucks or Scooters.

Actually, from my perspective, the blue-collar stuff you get at work is much more "coffee" than a Choco Mocha Latte Frappuccino.

I literally just ran out yesterday. I have an espresso maker I could try and figure out how to use, but I usually can't run complicated things without coffee.
