Name the secret scene!

So, Damon and Carlton put out a call in this week's podcast for the fans to name this year's secret scene! I figure the Lost fans at TrekBBS oughta have a few good ideas. I was gonna go with The AngstyBearded Hurley Bird but those bastards actually made a point of saying that there would be no Hurley Bird in the finale.

For the uninitated, the big twist at the end of each season is only distributed to the actors and crew that need to see it to film it. The producers have given each of these a code name to refer to it internally and it's become something of a Lost legend.

So far we have:

- Season 1: The Bagel (Walt getting snatched)

- Season 2: The Challah (Penny getting her late night phone call)

- Season 3: The Rattlesnake in the Mailbox (Jack and Kate at the airport in the future)

- Season 4: The Frozen Donkey Wheel (oddly, not the wheel but Ben and Jack in the funeral parlor)

So any ideas for this year? I've been thinking of ways to apply AngstyBeards to other things but so far I don't have anything quite so funny.

What do you guys have? Submissions go to ABC's Website under "Ask Lost".

"Joop Revealed"... from "Zepp Revealed" the theme song from Saw that first plays when we learn Michael Emerson isn't really the bad guy.

I don't read much in the way of LOST boards and stuff, since I only finished season 4, just last night (been recording season 5 so can continue).

I was wondering where the term 'Frozen Donkey Wheel' that I've seen mentioned a few times in this forum came from, and after watching the season 4 finale last night, I thought I knew (although long ago I suspected this term had something to do with Ben since he did end up in the desert in a parka earlier in the season. Although I still didn't get the 'donkey' part).

Now you are telling me that it has nothing to do with the wheel in the Orchid, but somehow with the revelation of who Jeremy Bentham was?

So I guess these names don't really have to relate to the actual event.

I don't understand how 'bagel' and 'challah' relate to those events either though...so there you go. :p

I mean, what does the two most well-known of Jewish breads have to do with LOST?

That's why they're good code names :p

With regards to "The Frozen Donkey Wheel", they codenamed the funeral parlor scene as such so that in case anyone got wind of Ben's wheel scene they wouldn't keep digging because they'd think that was the secret scene.

As to the actual name, I think it's a reference to one of these, which I guess the underground wheel kind of resembled. (EDIT: And I just re-read your post and I guess you figured that out. Because you're not a moron  Mea culpa.)

Ah...those LOST writers/producers are crafty devils, aren't they? Guess I shouldn't be that surprised though - JJ has been pretty good at keeping Trek XI under wraps.

Hey... wouldn't rule it out. I have my days. In fact, given the day I had at work today, I'd be surprised if I posted anything that WASN'T moronic.

Truthfully, though, I saw that wheel as more similar to a captain's wheel on a ship turned on it's side than as a 'donkey' wheel.

Turn the wheel. The Island moves. Mission accomplished. :p

Well, except for that part about landing Ben in the desert. Still don't know what's up with that.

The closest any of the other names have come to matching their respective scenes is that a rattlesnake in the mailbox is a rather surprising twist. Why should this one be any different?

Okay, in this week's podcast the guys narrowed it down to 13 finalists, and I must admit, they're almost all better than anything I had.

They are:

- The Joop
- The Fifth Toe
- The Twinkie
- The Droids You're Looking For
- The Zombie Bake Sale
- Smokey's Dorm Room
- The Spanish Inquisition
- The Baby Diaper Covered In BBQ Sauce
- The Exploding Pretzel Jar
- Jack Gets Pregnannt
- The Hooded Leprechaun
- [Some barely intelligible Russian philosopher's name, the spelling is probably way off] The Zygarnich
- The Fork In The Electrical Socket

Vote by submitting a question to the podcast and declaring yourself! Link upthread.

EDIT: I guess I should say that "The Joop" and "The Droids You're Looking For" are the standout pair for me.

(Actually, I wonder if it's a reference to my cousin Zombie Bakescene? Maybe someone's having a go at her. :()
