Name the (new) cast of ST DSNine

Not sure for the whole cast but here are a few:
Kira - Allison Mack, this woman lierally looks like a younger Nana Visitor, it's the eyes and profile
Garak - Chris Hyerdahl, he's Stargate's version of Jeffery Combs, I'd love to see him do Trek, he has the perfect balance of creepy and charming, he could do Odo too
Dukat - Ron Riffkin, the parallels between Alias and DS9 still amaze me
Damar - Peter Wingfield, would be good for Garak or Dukat too
Tain - Victor Garber, though I like Walken as well
Bashir - the guy who plays Mohinder on Heroes
And definately Mary McDonnell, but she could do Winn as well as the Female Founder

Dukat - Ron Riffkin, the parallels between Alias and DS9 still amaze me
Can you actually see Ron Rifkin is a charismatic, arrogant, intimidating Cardassian military leader? :cardie:

He could, however, work in a role of a high ranking Obsidian Order agent, maybe even the head of the OO, working from the shadows.

BTW I don't see any amazing parallels with DS9 and Alias. I do, however, see amazing parallels between La Femme Nikita and Alias, unsurprisingly. :shifty:

Time to resurrect threads again! ;)

I've got a new candidate for Kira: my newest girlcrush, Monica Raymund from "Lie To Me". I could also see her as Ro Laren. She totally has the attitude, tough as nails without having to try, and she's gorgeous and hot. She's a little young, but remember that the show made Kira a few years younger than Nana Visitor was. (And this is all hypothetical anyway...) I just don't know how well she can do angst, since a show like that doesn't give that many opportunities for the supporting regular cast (at least not in season 1... haven't watched season 2 yet)... If not, then "cast" her as some other Bajoran ex-resistance member, a Maquis, or a tough Starfleet cookie like Shelby!

BTW, this was discussed some time ago in this thread, where Temis the Vorta made a bunch of suggestions, some of which I liked, some of which I didn't. One I definitely did like was Mary McDonnell as the Female Founder. :bolian:

Shit, that's an old thread! :rommie: I like your Eamonn Walker and Noah Gray-Cabey suggestions. Here's my new list, but I haven't changed my mind about most of my original picks, but I'm definitely finding more options (some of whom would be good for multiple roles), and I'm still working on the philosophy that this is a reboot (maybe in the Abramsverse so we can have time-travelling crossovers with the movie actors):

Sisko: Eamonn Walker or Harry Lennix
Bashir: Omid Abtahi or Sendhil Ramamurthy
Kira: Katee Sackhoff or Alison Mack
O'Brien: Alan Tudyk
Jadzia: Lake Bell
Ezri: Summer Glau
Quark: Michael Emerson
Jake: Noah Gray-Cabey
Garak: David Anders or Robert Knepper or Adrian Pasdar
Weyoun: Zachary Levi or Vincent Kartheiser
Damar: Thomas Jane or James Purefoy or Mark Ruffalo
Kasidy Yates: Dana Davis or Gabrielle Union
Dukat: Robert Knepper or Timothy Olyphant or Adrian Pasdar
Odo: William Fitchner
Female Founder: Elizabeth Mitchell or Michelle Forbes
Kai Winn: Mary McDonnell
New Romulan Character: Christopher Gorham

I like most of those suggestions. Mary McDonell as Kai Winn is hilarious. Summer Glau as Ezri, too.

My favorite suggestion is Michelle Forbes as the Female Founder, though. I like the idea of the actress finally taking a role in the show after all this time, and it's the role of an arch villain.

Actually, Noah Gray-Cabey is one of the suggestions I 'borrowed' from PSGarak (who sadly hasn't posted on TrekBBS for a very long time... :( He hasn't even finished his absolutely fabulous Epic "Miss" Universe contest! :( )

Oh, and I like David Anders as Garak and Vincent Kartheiser as Weyoun. :bolian:

Yeah Kartheiser makes a better Weyoun than Zachary Levi, who I guess I need to invent a Vulcan or Rommie role for. I'm getting him into pointy ears one way or the other! :bolian:

Here's a weird but possibly interesting suggestion: Zachary Levi as Garak.

If Michelle Forbes is the Female Founder, then Elizabeth Mitchell should be Jennifer Sisko.

Bashir: Benedict Cumberbatch
O'Brien: Martin Freeman
Sisko: Joe Morton
Kira: Yvonne Strahovski
Adm. Ross: Carmen Argenziano
Luther Sloan: Robert Carlyle
