I thought this could be a thread where we get help on naming particular episodes that we'd like to see again.

Which episode was it in which Data and some other dude (Geordie maybe) at one stage had to simultaneously fire on this little 3D upside down triangle thing, which may have been a weapons turret of some sort, to destroy it?

I forget what the actual episode was about though.

That was my first episode of Star Trek TNG I think, and I saw it as a kid.

That sounds like the most plausible answer. Were there any other triangular things in the series anyone remembers? I can't recall any others.

Here's one--I am completely blanking at the moment on which episode it was when Data (I think) and perhaps Picard are on a planet in a room that has a rotating portal showing different worlds/locations one could go to by simply passing through it? I think they enabled some kind of autodestruct sequence to destroy it?
