Name That SCENE

"Captain! Captain Kirk, we thought you were...."

That's a very sad moment, but:

Clue # 3
This short moment, from a larger scene, has just three people in it. Two regulars, and a guest star of the week.

Kirk, Spock, and Flint in "Requiem for Methuselah" over Reyna's deactivation?

"Is There in Truth No Beauty" after the psycho guy (Marvick?) who had the hots for Miranda died from his insanity? Kirk, Miranda, and McCoy were there.

One of my favourite 'end-of-act' moments, but not this time.

Clue # 6
The inevitable reality of the situation hits our guest star's character.

Did somebody mention Zarabeth when it's decided that McCoy and Spock can't stay in the past

Correct! That moment when McCoy wants to go back, and says his life is back in the future, with Zarabeth's realisation that she will be alone forever. Topped with that simple, yet emotive cue from The Empath, makes this one of the saddest moments for me, in the series.

Over to you sir!

Great scene. And great performances. I don't think the episode is that great but as usual the cast nailed it. The funny thing is whenever anybody names trivia I always --- because of my OCD -- start thinking of the episodes in production order. And then I get interrupted usually before I get all the way to 79! LOL. And of course all our yesterdays was episode 78.
so if you want to stumped me just pick an episode from the second half of season 3 because I never make it that far on the first few attempts! But you're much better at this than I am so go ahead and I pass the torch back to you. And I will give my next question some thought.

OK, no problem!

Clue # 1
Kirk appears a little embarrassed during this discussion, not knowing what someone is referring to.

KIRK: Storage compartments? Storage compartments?
DARVIN: The storage compartments containing the quadrotriticale.
KIRK: What? What? What's quadrotriticale? (Lurry hands him a small packet) Wheat. So what?
BARIS: Quadrotriticale is not wheat, Captain. Of course, I wouldn't expect you or Mister Spock to know about such things, but quadrotriticale is a rather
SPOCK: Quadrotriticale is a high-yield grain, a four-lobed hybrid of wheat and rye. A perennial, also, I believe. Its root grain, triticale, can trace its ancestry all the way back to twentieth century Canada
KIRK: Mister Spock, you've made your point.
