The most depressing movie I've seen this decade was requim for a dream, but can't remember any gun shooting leaving a man dead on the stairs, so can't be that movie..

Haha, what's funny is that House of Sand and fog was one of the first results that came up when I began googling, but I skimmed the plot and couldnt find any shooting scenes, so I chose not to enter that movie
