Name that fan production

I occasionally browse the fan-film world on the web.

It seems like some time in the last couple years, give or take, I stumbled upon a TMP4-era fan film that opened with a starship commander imitating TOP GUN, complete with jet fighter antics. There was also a very interesting looking co-pilot with pointed ears and 80s hair.

Which production was this, and what happened to it?
