Name something you learnt while visiting Trekbbs

I'm always amazed that mr trampledamage (who's a software developer) doesn't know things like thread bombs and LOLcats. Then I realise I've got all of that from here!

Also, Benjamin Franklin invented bi-focal lenses, learned that here too.

It's not Holland, it's The Netherlands.

That thing the guy was doing next to me was "the plank," and it's an ab exercise.

Top ten lists aren't funny.

Some people will complain about anything.

I am one of those people.

And sometimes this board reminds me of that which I already know but forgot due to lack of use, like grilled cheese sandwiches are very good.

So is sushi.

I should go to the bookstore and finally gets those Blackadder dvds.

:guffaw:

You've got to start paying more attention! This all got discussed in the fan-fiction forum ages ago :)

A classic mistake. You are assuming I have the ability to retain knowledge from one day to the next.;)

Ah well, fair enough, neither have I. Except for useful stuff like Franklin and his bi-focals, I'm never going to forget that now.

Franklin had bifocals? ;) See, I just learned something else!

While I disagree with it, I think the thing I've learned here in the last month was in some regions, putting Ketchup on a Hot Dog is almost sinful.

Need to continue my education-where do the heretics live?:shifty: One can't be too careful...

I've learned a lot about USA politics. It's still incomprehensible, mind.

I've learned some really excellent insults. Nerds have very fertile imaginations.

I've learned that American cheese isn't cheese.

I've learned that everyone is secretly gay except the openly gay people who are angry or amused* that everyone else is secretly gay.

*depending on whether they are Canadian or not
