Klingon Car Stunts: ;) One of the neater/"best" Myths and more fun ones they've done in a short-while. Episodes and "myths" like this really shows the talents of Jamie and Adam and how well they work together. The cantilevered crane stunt rig was brilliant on their part and doing it -with the windows down- looked like loads of fun. And going through the carwash?

Nothing stood out to me as a flaw in their logic, testing, or results. This is obviousily one of those "Hollywood things" that wouldn't work in real life. I'd be surpised if with windows down if one could've even held on during the hard stop or the centripital force tests.

The "build team" myths. Meh. I figured that the floss -aided with a grit- would "cut through the pipe" but that it also wouldn't do it in any reasonable or useful ammount of time. A year would be a long time to get through ONE side of the bar. Then you'd have to do the other side of it to remove it (unless, I guess, you knock it out) and even then you've got a way to go before you escaped. But, in principle, the basis of the "myth" worked.

The canonball myth I knew wouldn't work just from having basic knowledge of physics and human tolerances.

It's interesting that the "simulaid" (not the same as a crash-test dummy) is being called Buster. I thought they got a new CTD that they named Buster?

Fun episode all around.

Oh. And I wonder if in the "stress" test with Buster and the cannonball really would've torn one's leg off? There's a difference between a rope simulating ligaments and the actual ligaments, muscles, and bones in your body. Sure, the canon would rip your leg out of its socket, maybe break your bone(s) in it pretty severly but that it'd tear the muscle fibers, skin, and all of that so your leg flies clean off? I doubt it.

^Perhaps the leg wouldn't come clean off, but you wouldn't get very far away from the prison with the kind of damage it would do.

Easily, imo. The human leg isn't constructed to resist that kind of force. My guess is, the leg would probably rip off the ankle or maybe at the knee. The joints aren't that tough.

Whether it's physically ripped off or not, do you really think that would matter to the poor idiot who tried this? ;) Either way, he'd be in incredible pain and still in prison, and might not survive the shock and blood loss.
