Myriad Universes - Escape From Reality

Since this is here anyway, and tangentially relevant, I will put my question here.

I've read all of Infinity's Prism and all three stories do end on a relatively happy note. The Chimes at Midnight ends with trouble looming, but on a happy note.

Is there a problem with ending a negative note?

Obviously you haven't read A Gutted World yet...

since this is here, I'd like to ask Geoff, Bill, Keith and James:

What happens next?

did you ever consider what happened after the story or not?

Not really, no. And if I were to do a follow-up in the ALPU timeline, I think I would be more interested in going back and filling more details of the post-ENT, pre-TOS time period than doing a traditional sequel.

Reading that one now, and enjoying it too. I have enjoyed them all.

This is almost setting up a new long-term line of books, since there are so many possibilities, from expanding on snippets from various alternate reality episodes to different decisions made and so on. I'm already looking forward to MyrU III

Rocks fall. Everyone dies.

Seriously, though, I never really quantifed it that much, but I assumed that the story would lead to galaxy-spanning rebellion, and a whole "fall of Rome" scenario.
