Myriad Universe 3

I know there has been many changes to the book schedules due to the comings and goings of editors at Pocket Books.

I remember after the first 2 Myriad books there was an announcement of the 3rd. Has this book been cancelled or postponed?

It's out in December, entitled Shattered Light.

It's very much out in December. Michael Schuster and I turned in the copyedit on The Tears of Eridanus a few weeks ago, and it promises some sweet Sulu action.

Interesting that Nilz Baris, of all people, is getting his own story. A stuffier, more arrogant bureaucrat you won't find...I assume the divergence takes place *before* the episode? Otherwise I can't see a nebbish like him, turning out to be the hero.

At the risk of being snarked at again, I will ask...have the little blurbs that typically show on the back of the book that give us some glimpse of the story been given to us yet? Or are they still "forthcoming"?

No story specific blurbs yet, that I'm aware of.

Based on what I've heard here and other places, it sounds like the divergence is the end of the episode.

I expect Scott will show up soon to say more, but based on what I recall him saying at Shore Leave, I don't think that's the case. I think the divergence occurs slightly before the episode, and changes its outcome.
