Well, I had hoped the thread would die quietly on its own (even before your PM), but I guess that's not going to happen.
We've been through this quite a bit (especially recently), but to reemphasize the point already made: Posting story ideas is a good way of making sure they'll never be used.
That being said, perhaps in the future when someone has a story idea they would like to talk about with other posters, make that purpose clear in the thread title, that way the authors and editors can avoid it. After all, there isn't anything here that says everyone has to read all of the threads.
