The network, owned by Fox, was formed from the stations left behind when The CW was formed. It will most likely be on the air long after CW closes up shop.

Actually MyNetwork has decided to give up any illusion about being an original producers and is now with the exception of WWE) focusing fully on being a syndicator of reruns.

In other words it has given up its dream of being a original broadcast network.

Now that doesn't mean that it can't be financial successful (as reruns do typical cost less then originals).

As for the CW, while its attempt to be a original broadcaster are still ongoing, it is certain (at some time) to fail as well.

Supernatural has one year left. My understanding from fans of Smallville is that it is basically coasting on fumes these days. When these shows are gone, the CW has nothing left, and will basically go the way of the dodo.

I'm still waiting on someone to air reruns of Trek at a decent hour (hint hint MyNetworkTV).

I think MyNetwork should air first run syndication, like Reaper (hint hint) and Legend of the Seeker and such. It will be more expensive than what they have, but still much cheaper than other shows.

And Fox never really cared about the network, it's extremely cheap for them, and there aren't a lot of stations. They tried original programming, it failed and they were smart enough to see that.

I don't understand why there aren't more Fox shows on the channel. They should have 24 Wednesday or something, there are 168 episodes, and people enjoy it, I think it would work.
