My uniform design

Epsilon IX

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
This is a uniform design which I had thought about in my head for some time and decided to put onto paper. These are hand drawn using pencil, pencil crayon, and gold and silver pens. I didn't intend for them to be in any fanfics etc. but merely did for fun, but were they to be put into a timeframe it would be during the 2380s to sometime in the 25th century.

These are the uniforms for day-to-day duties, and in the case of the line officers these would be the class 'B' uniforms.

Let me know what you think.

More to come!

Not bad, but surely nothing revolutionary. Isn't it a "Section 31" uniform somewhat illogical? They don't even exist officially: what's the point of having an uniform?

^From what I remember Section 31 personnel did wear uniforms, albeit ones which were radically different in design and material from standard starfleet uniforms. What I was doing here is specualting what their future designs may look like, as well as their possible desire to keep up with fashions.

Why silly? Maybe I'm mistaken, but I assumed the costumer's intent was to have S31 dressed in a black, no-frills version of the STII-STVI uniform design. To kind of subconsciously remind us that they've been behind the scenes for a long time. (Yeah, I know there's no reason they couldn't update their uniforms in all that time, that's why it's a subconscious thing. ;) )

Well done, Epsilon! It looks like an interesting blend of the TNG uniform overall, with some First Contact black in the jacket as well.

Well, I didn't want to derail the thread, since it is about Epsilon IX's uniforms which I actually like.

I was pointing out that, even within the show, having Section 31 wear a special uniform would be kinda against the whole "secret agency, believed to not even exist" premise. The purpose of a uniform is to be recognizable: you don't see people wearing Illuminati uniforms in the real world, either. ;)

I like the art work.
But the design themselves don't move me.
I feel that Section 31 uniforms should be all black.

These uniforms were retired from my story pilot.
I put them as official Star Fleet uniforms and the Black uniforms as Section31 uniforms.

This is the uniform for Section 31 I started off with. It's "V" from the shoulders to the belt with an elastic rim and a proper manderin collar. It's more of a jacket now.

Although this really show the final uniform this is a Shine reflective black uniform with silver/bronse/gold collars.

Gold: Command
Silver: Science
Bronze: Engineering; Security;Operations

I like the design. I'm very happy I don't have to assemble a real one, but I like the design.

Really good work and a very good "middle ground" between the all too colorful TOS/TNG/VOY uniforms and not quite colorful enough ENT/DS9/FC uniforms.

Thank you for all the nice responses you've all made so far.

I said there was more to come, and here you are:
