My Trek Through Enterprise

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

So that's where they store all plot points destined to be forgotten forever? :p

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

It's bigger inside than it looks from the exterior.

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

I'm sure he does, but Cutler herself hasn't died so we can speculate about where she is in universe.

And I think we have an answer as to how much Phlox actually fancied her as he apparently has her stored in a tardis-like box in his sick bay just for himself.

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

Even the actor dying isn't a final excuse.... characters can be played by different actors. Ziyal and Saavik come to mind.

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

I hate to have to say it, but I forgot about Cutler. That's the lab assistant Phlox had that was into him. It's too bad that the actress died, and I'm sorry to hear that.

Rajiin

Mm, I think this Rajiin woman is an implant. She and that owner guy are probably working together. I mean, how would she know if Archer and Malcolm would be better to her than anyone else? Yup, that's it. And of course Archer hasn't improved at all. "Oh hey, I don't know anything about you at all, so of course it must be safe to let you roam around the ship unattended." At least she tried to give him a heads up in the end, even though what she did to T'Pol was treacherous.

Can T'Pol have a break? She's injured again? Too bad about the trellium (sp?). At least Archer had a nice moment at the end of the episode.

VULCAN ZOMBIES FTW!!!

I died laughing the first time I saw this episode but it was also a good story with some poignancy for T'Pol. It lays some other groundwork too.

But most importantly..

VULCAN ZOMBIES!!!!

Seriously, how awesome is it to have Vulcan zombies.

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

What's great about them is despite being brain eating sociopaths they still retain the Vulcan refusal to have a sense of humor.

Exile

Okay, somebody lied about their appearance. Not a good sign. I hope he doesn't double cross them. And a few days? It's not going to take that long; he just wants to spend time with Hoshi. I'm surprised that no one was suspicious of the timeframe. Archer shouldn't leave her alone with him. I started to give him a gold star for
taking-precautions-blink2_zps56d745e7.gif
when he had her stay with Phlox in sick bay

, but leaving her alone with a possible weirdo makes me have to take it back

. At least one security guard should have been left behind, no ifs, ands, or buts.

I feel sorry for his story but he seriously gives off a Mr. McCreepy vibe. Aaand the truth comes out. He wants her to be his companion. And "came to appreciate," sounds like his previous companions were unwilling at the start. Hmm. Hoshi should have played coy until her people came back because there's one thing that will surely set off a desperately lonely weird guy--"No!"

Well at least he was half-way decent in the end. Creepy, but still somewhat decent.

The Shipment

I can't believe that Archer would leave their hostage alone, with the door open, and with no one looking. If that Xindi guy hadn't been decent/trusting, they would have had some real problems. Hearing that Xindi's explanation of what happened, it sounds like they were responsible for their own planet's destruction. I wonder why they think humans are to blame?

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

Exile was an interesting episode. Very few Hoshi related episodes, so it was a nice change of pace. Yeah the alien didn't seem like he was actually malicious...just weird and lonely.

The Shipment finally starts to move the Xindi plot forward a little bit. As to your question... here I'll use spoiler tags:
They destroyed their world in the past as depected here. They're trying to destroy Earth because they've been told by time travelers with an agenda against the Federation the Earthlings will destroy them in the future. So the Xindi are acting preemptively in their defense.

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

I think you've been through two Hayes episodes now (The Xindi and The Shipment). No mentions of Major Hayes. What do you think of him and the conflict with Lieutenant Reed?

FYI, Hayes is in only three more episodes - Harbinger, Hatchery and Countdown.

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

I like Reed a lot, and wished he got more screen time on Enterprise but that pissing contest between him and Hayes was just silly at best.

Hayes might have been a more interesting character if they didn't use him mainly as an antagonist to Reed and it wasn't dreadfully obvious how his character arc ended.

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

Aah, "Exile"... like "Anomaly", another lame-ass filler ep I was able to skip over thanks to Michelle Erica Green's fine reviews. (Not to be confused with kick-ass filler eps like "North Star" and "Hatchery". :D)

Dig the yellow text and gold stars, though!

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

If you skipped it how do you know you didn't like it?

Also, lots of Hoshi. Lots and lots. So you did miss something.
