My starship design concept, the U.S.S. Ascendant

It's taken a while but I've finally finished modelling the bridge of my ship the USS Ascendant. The design is basically a like-for-like recreation of the bridge of the USS Vengeance from Star Trek Into Darkness, but with an overall colour scheme of white rather than dark gray. This was a very tricky model to create as I made everything down to the small buttons and levers, all made from scratch using Sketchup.

Honestly looks better than anything I could do. But that said I have to be honest. All the hard angles put me off to it. It just looks like you took the Enterprise E and minus the saucer turned all the curves/bends into hard angles. But that's just my opinion.

It just doesn't look like it fits in the either prime or JJ timelines...too angular or something.

That said I am impressed at the work itself and it is interesting. Definitely looks like a lot of time and effort was put into it and the quality of the work itself is great. Kudos on that. But, again, imo it just doesn't look quite right for a Star Trek ship. Too angular and looks like a variant of the Sovereign class with hard angles to me.

Now the bridge work is amazing. It looks like it definitely fits in the JJ timeline and is beautiful to look at.

Yes you do, because J.D. "Boss" Hogg was the bad guy and he was dressed in white and drove a white Cadillac. His twin brother A.L. Hogg was a good guy dressed in black and drove a black Cadillac. So your analogy doesn't make much sense in the case of the Vengeance/Ascendant.
