Here's my own myraid universe: what if the USS Enterprise-D crew forgot to deactivate the auto destruct sequence in "Where Silence Has Lease"? Then the Enterprise-D would be destroyed, what will happen to the future of the Federation and what ship will be the flagship of the fleet and what happens at Starfleet Medical?

Starfleet Medical? The Federation probably would be fine. People would be happier with Wesley gone.

Then in 1990, Paramount announce plans for the new television network, with a new series called Star Trek: Phase III, with Kate Mulgrew portraying Captain Kathryn Janeway in command of the Sovereign class starship Enterprise-E and the new cast of characters and Gates McFadden returning as Dr. Crusher (the last of her family). With the pilot episode, "In Thy Image" which has the same plot for Star Trek: Generations which the crew's old ship, the Magellan, (which is the Galaxy class starship) which suffered the same fate as the Enterprise-D in Generations, and with Janeway meeting Captain Kirk (who died saving the Enterprise-A) and they save the Veridian system from destruction.
