My NashvilleCon recap, with pictures. (Done in fun.)

SFRabid

Commodore
Commodore
ConnorDrink.jpg

Connor Trinneer was first. He took one look at the audience and started drinking.

DurosFood.jpg

The Duras Sisters followed later. Someone forgot to feed them so they resorted to feeding on the audience. After Lursa devoured this victim B'Etor came out into the audience and bit me on the ear. Seriouslly.

VulcanPicture.jpg

At the meet and greet someone dressed as a Vulcan got to take pictures of the cast as they lined up against a wall. Everyone else got to take pictures of the back of someone dressed like a Vulcan.

DoepyHappyDoc.jpg

Doepy, Happy and Doc had a good time laughing at the other dwarves.

MaxGirl.jpg

Max drew a blank while hitting on a girl in the front row.

MaxQuestion.jpg

Max drew a blank after being ask the first question for the DS9 panel.

ShatnerFed.jpg

Unlike the Duras sister, someone did remember to feed Shatner.

ShatnerFood.jpg

Shatner even got to take food with him onto the stage.

Hey I was there too!! I saw you getting bit on the ear!! It was hilarious! My wife and I sat right next to the guy in the rubber wig dressed as a vulcan! Row E! His name is Troy. When he went up on stage for the costume contest, he had his rubber wig on backwards! We had a huge time! It was my first convention ever and I look forward to you posting some more pics! Good memories! Got any of Martok and Gowron?

.... Got any of Martok and Gowron?

Ack! Forgot one.

KlingonDance.jpg

Martok and Gowron were lots of fun. They sang, they danced, they rapped and they told jokes. In the picture above they are giving tips on playing air guitar. If you have never seen them do the chicken joke ....

I assume that they have been executed by now for actions unbecoming a Klingon.

Shatner still looks pretty freaking good for a man his age.

Awesome pictures!

He hides his age well. I've now seen all five captains and Shatner is by far the most engaging. He spent most of his time going from one end of the stage to the other, standing on the front edge to be as close to the audience as possible.

Don't expect him to personalize an autograph. They are not going to let things slow down for him, even if you are in the first row. Up until that point a volunteer was printing your name on a sticky not for you to have on the picture when handing it to the person who was signing. People had been saving the sticky notes and reusing them. An assistant would sit next to the person signing and check off a list to count how many signatures where being done.

With Shatner, two people were inspecting the items to be signed just to make sure someone did not hand him something like the picture below. Then one of the head guys for Creationent was sitting next to Shatner. He would take the picture and place it on the table, then pick it up again after it was signed and hand it back to the person. Real factory efficiency here. He was pulling the sticky notes off and saying "no personalization." Then he started screaming "Who is doing this? I SAID NO PERSONALIZATION! Who is handing out these sticky notes?" Shatner glanced up with a sheepish "Ohhh, the teacher is mad" grin but never stopped signing.

Don't ask him to sign this.

When I was in line there was this elderly lady in a red trek themed shirt in front of me. She did not have a lanyard nor a ticket for an autograph. Apparently she was confused about whether or not an autograph came with the photo op purchase. She had her photo op pic with Shatner (the photographer said it was the first time he'd ever gotten the photo's all printed before Shatner's autograph session) and wanted him to sign it but the handlers told her she had to have a ticket. She responded that she'd paid for the photo ticket, but when they told her an autograph ticket was a separate purchase her poor little face just fell. Just as she was turning to walk away, Shatner told the guy next to him that he could "let her come over" and they told her to "come on over"! With a big smile he signed her photo and she thanked him. He replied "my pleasure". I was really touched by that. I've always heard what a jerk Shatner could be, he certainly didn't act like it then. Nor was he hateful during the photo op and autograph session. I thanked him for his time and signature and he looked me in the eye and said "You're welcome and thank you!". I was very glad to find that my experience with him was enjoyable. I had been prepped by many, including folks on this site, that Shatner could be difficult. I'm very glad he was not.

My experience with Shatner was also a good one. He was very nice for my photo op and my autograph.

I love that he autographed her photo op without the auto ticket.

I'll bet the Creation people were pissed.

You might have noticed while you were there you can't get near an actor unless you've paid for the privilege.
