TNG was airing when I was in high school. It was a family thing, we would watch it every week. Once, we couldn't make for some odd reasons (somebody had died or something, I don't remember) so I programmed our VCR to record the episode, so all was good.
But we had just switch to Cable and I forgot that channel 12, where the show was airing, was now channel 11. So instead of recording the second part of Best of both worlds I ended up recording 1 hour of the shopping channel.
I still didn't forgive myself to this day. I don't think anybody can beat that but does anyone have an anecdote like that they would like to share?
