My most impressive Models

Green Ranger

Ensign
Newbie
Hi guys,
New to the forum, old to the trek universe. Im regrettably needing to thin out my collection, and was wondering what these models are worth to you, as fans.
They are not for sale at the moment. Im looking for honest estimations of value, what you would pay, what you think others would pay, what you think of them as models.
If you have any comments about them, positive or negative, please voice them! But please keep criticism constructive :bolian:

First of all, is my model of the Intrepid Class bridge. Built entirely from day to day materials, this 3x2 foot model is built using reference schematics and screen caps to form a relatively accurate reprosentation of the Voyager bridge. It is approximately to scale with playmates figures.

My second piece is a Revell Monogram Special edition Voyager model, built with a unique paint sheme to demonstrate a weathered vessel. It has an internal lighting system, and uniquely, the top of the saucer is held on by magnets. The entire top lifts off to access the electronic switches and batteries, meaning no electronics are outside the model at all. Its nacelles move, and it has an open shuttle bay, and mini shuttle.

The next piece is a DS9 style Nebula Class ship. Built from a 1400 Ertl Enterprise D, almost all parts of the ship have been modified. A conversion kit has been used for the nebula parts, but every detail has been covered. The saucer has even had the impulse engines filled, and a new bridge module installed to give it its own identity. The ship has a custom display stand, and is very heavy. A nice set of decals have been applied, and the detailed aztec panels have been expertly painted. Im not sure if this exact vessel was ever seen on screen, but i think it was. USS Prometheus, NCC- 71201.

Next is a Cardy Galor Class ship, battle damaged to match damage similar to that seen in numerous dominion battle ds9 episodes. A beautifully finished piece-

Finally, my Year of Hell style Voyager. Built out of the large size revell monogram model, this has to be the most detailed model i have ever seen. It is painted in a simple but impressive manor, then into the surface, real looking black scars have been burnt in, to give a true appearance of damage. In addition, accurate to on screen, large areas of the saucer have been removed and real internal decking installed. You can even see internal rooms in some areas. It is 100% accurate to the last time it was seen BEFORE the final battle with the time ship. It is without a doubt, the best model i have ever had the privilege of owning, pics really DONT do it justice.

Thanks for your time in viewing my first thread on this great forum. Any comments appreciated :rommie:

Re: My most impressive Models, value?

THAT'S great work! You need to go to Starship Modeler an post this in their forums (they don't allow ANY inline pics though, so you'll have to change the main pics to links too...it's a bandwidth issue).

Re: My most impressive Models, value?

That "Year of Hell" Voyager is amazing! I don't seem to remember such a huge chunk taken out of the rear of the saucer though.

Thanks! But as I said, its based on the VERY last time it was seen before the final battle with the time ship, which infact had very little screen time. Here is a screen shot, to demonstrate :)

This is from approx 29:30 in Year of Hell Part 2.

Re: My most impressive Models, value?

Some nice looking models, there, Green Ranger, and welcome to the board. Feel free to discuss the models, but any discussion of value of the models or solicitation to sell them will get this thread locked, as the board rules do not allow that sort of activity. Just a reminder for the Old Guard and a notice for the New :techman:.

Thankyou for the welcome :)
I must re-read the rules, apologies for that. I sometimes forget that different forums have their own rules.
Thanks for the heads up there. :techman:

Re: My most impressive Models, value?

Fantastic stuff there.

If it weren't for Ptrope's warning I would be throwing some Quatloos around this place.
