I can now inflict my horrendous artwork on you all, in conjunction with my abject idiocy, aaAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA...!!! *cough*cough*

I'd hope you have a great fall - but it's only spring! ;)

One 'friendly' for flaming - you can't call even yourself an idiot, here :bolian:

This just a test run for posting my artwork without any slip ups and I'm going to scan in much better stuff in the next few weeks. :techman:

Anyway my three creatures I've drawn are featured in three adverts that advertised Kinder Surprise, Metz and Tango.

Anyway, what do you think of my artistic interpretation of them?

A sketch of a SWAT unit:

Bugger me, all this scanning in and attaching to the Email is a right fucking bastard to do! :brickwall:

My concept designs of what the US Military anti-Zombie soldiers could've looked like from World War Z:

I know the first one is crappy, but I'm getting better with the second one. :techman:

Also here the Mysterious Stranger from The Adventures of Mark Twain:

You're off to a good start. I certainly wouldn't rate you a mediocre artist, but rather a "talented student".

If I can make a suggestion, try to find a copy of "How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way". Even if you aren't interested in drawing Marvel style art, it's a great primer for proportions (which you seem to have a nice grasp of), perspective, using primitives, posing and inking style.

If you're more into a manga style, there are a number of good volumes available at most good bookstore chains.

Finally, if you're interested in working in the digital realm, especially coloring, check out the publications of Antarctic Press. Their sets even include a CD with the art discussed in the book to practice with.

Keep it up. We'll be interested in seeing where you go from here.

I'm going to be a poor man's MuffinKing.

A futuristic tank from around 2030s/40s under the service of the United
Eastern Economic Pact:

A Hond II infantry support tank from the Citizen Force's Armoured Corps:

A Hond III cruiser tank, a mid 1930s design that formed the backbone of the CF's Armoured Corps for many years:

A Hond III heavy tank, on hindsight a Universal Battle Tank, as classified by the opposing British Army's Royal Tank Corps, who had very close ties
to the Citizen Force in the 1920s and early 1930s:

Thank you for your feedback; I have tried to develope people to look as proportioned and 'right' as possible, not buggering up on the hands or feet, or putting them in ridiculous body positions (Rob Liefeld I'm looking at you). To me the Marvel/Manga styles overlap somewhat in key areas, in terms of skull and torso arrangement and pulling dynamic poses.

But sadly I've got some sketches I'm unable to post on PhotoBucket due to them inexplicably having a KB of 2.0 and over (although my SWAT picture had a high KB of 2.0+, but I forgot how I compressed it).

i like your 1st tank it reminds me of the manga 'ad police' tanks

as for compressing your pics have you tried infra view? they should shrink them down most of my pics i put up are in the 50kb to 100 kb though i use the resize option to keep it within the 1024x768 size limit

The names Bond, James Bond...

Unintentionally a cross between Dalton and Brosnan for some reason (I narrowed the face too much).

Also here is Student Baines from the popular Doctor Who two parter "Human Nature/The Family of Blood":

Here is one of Baine's Scarecrow henchbeings:

At the moment I'm doing drawings of my neighborhood from photographs, while I'm just drawing and drawing anything that comes into my head (mainly Doctor Who aliens). I have done a nice landscape painting and I'm so far using acylic paint for my art.

Not to get nitpicky...but do you have any star trek art? I personally don't mind you posting your stuff on here, but I'm just curious as to why you've picked a Star Trek forum unless you were going to post some Star Trek art?

Because there is far more to this forum than just it's namesake? Although I'll get round to drawing Star Trek stuff (similar to that Trek Manga).
