My math and physics page

I had started putting this section of my site together about 6 months ago, and I've been slowly working on it since then. It isn't finished, but I think it has reached a point where it might be useful to some people.

As with all my projects, I'm guessing this one will be in a continuous state of work in progress. I'll throw more time and effort at this as it becomes available.

Thanks guys!

I'll add more to it soon... but right now I'm working on a Track and Field section (based on my 10 years as an athlete and the year I spent as a college coach).

Thanks again. :techman:

I haven't updated my site with these courses yet, but I figured I'd post them here anyways.

Leonard Susskind has continued his series on Modern Physics (Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics and Special Relativity) with two new courses on General Relativity (iTunes, YouTube) and Cosmology (iTunes). I had been holding off putting up pages on these until the YouTube versions of the lectures were complete, but there seems to have been some form of delay (at first the General Relativity lectures were being put up on both sites at the same time, but then the YouTube version started falling behind).

The General Relativity lectures were pretty good... but Susskind seemed to get too caught up in the notation of the mathematics and it seems like the geometry behind the notation wasn't being conveyed as well as it could. I've seen the same types of things done in most physics courses on General Relativity, and I think it comes from a view of wanting to calculate (which can be a myopic point of view at times) rather than having a global understanding of what is going on.

Still, very informative and enjoyable courses none the less. :techman:
