Here she is, the first ship of her class, the U.S.S. Phoenix:

I made her using Paint from a pic of the Enterprise I found. I don't have a front or top view, as I couldn't quite get those done well enough in Paint.

I'm always interested in seeing TOS era "might have beens". Probably because we never really got to see any other types of Federation starships from that era.

Nice work. It has a certain kind of functionality to it. Not pretty, per se, but it looks like it would get the job done.

Do you know of Vance's toolkit: http://www.pixelsagas.com/gallery/viewgallery.php?album=5
It contains many parts always with a front and top view so you can easily create tree-side-views of your designs, and it is there for exactly that purpose (You only need to mention the source of the parts).
