Hi Ian
I like the Eldorado but I noticed that on the elevation view the Impulse engine is blocked by that Upper level on the secondary hull. I'd suggest that you relocate the impulse
engine either to the secondary hull further back or put a double set of impulse engines port and starboard on the saucer to clear that portrusion. Keep up the good work by the way :techman:

Bernard: look again at the plan view. The impulse engine is in fact NOT blocked. I was very careful to make sure of that. It only looks blocked from the elevation view.

Knight Templar, I kind'a agree, but that's where she "wanted" to go. I'm thinking that she represents a "failed" design (poor warp performance and maneuverability, etc), that they maybe only made a handful of.

Sometimes, even engineers like to play, and such was the case when it came time to upgrade/refit the Remora-class escort. A newer, more efficient warp drive featuring twin nacelles increased the operating range of the vessels, and the addition of a dorsal-mounted weapons pod with 4 photon torpedo tubes (2 forward and 2 aft) and an additional 2 twin-mount phaser banks pushed the rebuilds into the "heavy escort" category (some argued for redesignating the ships as destroyer-escorts/light destroyers.

The changes were considered substantial enough to warrant a new class-designation, and that was when the design engineers showed their playful side, christening the design the Starhawk class.

Please note the updated parts credits on the Starhawk.

Major parts credit goes to JAFisher for his Remora redraw which formed the basis for the "rebuild".

I apologize for the oversight.

Look good to me and it improves the ships profile and reduces the target area of the front view :techman:
