My homebrew kitbashes

The Starfleet version has a single bank of phasers forward. The civilian version is unarmed. Private purchasers may be able to fit weapons to them "after market" with the appropriate permits.

SI has a small number of them mixed in with both the Starfleet and civilian registered batches for it's own purposes, including use as "Q" ships in disputed zones.

ahh almost didnt notice that single Phaser bank ^_^

I've been tinkering again.

Inspired by a couple of designs I've seen around and from the description in Diane Duane's "My Enemy, My Ally" among others, I did this up last night.

The Defender class starship is alternately referred to as a "destroyer" or a "battleship". Based on it's description, I think the latter is more appropriate.

liking that one... double deflector dish... interesting design... personally i would have gone for more an oval instead of the 2 circular dishes...

i like it though, very much a beast of a ship

^I'd already done that with my 23rd century Galaxy class.

Don't know why, but this is the way she "wanted" to come out...

I did a "skinnier" version of the new secondary hull and did "refits" of the Defender and my seemingly-never-finished Galaxy.

The Pax Invictus-class battleship, the five ships of which serve as the flagships of the five Terran Imperial Grand Fleets.

NCC-2000 Pax Invictus (Unconquerable Peace)
NCC-2001 Pax Imperium (Peace of the Empire)
NCC-2002 Pax Gladius (Peace of the Sword)
NCC-2003 Pax Eternus (Everlasting Peace)
NCC-2004 Pax Infinitus (Infinite Peace)

The 980 is a spunky-great design. The wide shuttlebay on your Galaxy with your new saucer has really come into its own

I like how you have the nacelles raised on the Pax--the only helpful hint might be to make the nacelles a bit thinner to keep it sleek. Great saucer on that. I've been waiting for someone to place a super reliant saucer on a super-refit secondary hull. You might play around with that a bit more.

Something about your defender really speaks to me. The nacelle pairs come from Stargazer, but I wonder what it might look like if you omitted the bottom nacelle and its supporting structure--so that you had only the upper section of the stargazer nacelle supports.

That might look cool on its own.

Interesting thoughts, publisur...I might tinker at some point.

I replaced the image of the original Pax with a "cleaned up" version. Got rid of the saucer shuttlebays and cleaned up the detailing on the side as well as improving the interconnecting dorsal (the proportioning was off).

Then I got a request from a friend who I'd shown it to. He liked it but thought it needed "something", so I got to thinking about additional pods and such. I came up with some alternate configurations.

First, with only a couple of additional pods.

And a variant of this with a big "ship buster" anti-proton cannon added.

Next I did one adding the "roll bar", but replacing the megaphasers with either more sensor/jammer pods, or maybe some other form of weapon (but no anti-proton cannon)

My friend liked the last one the best. I think it might be a bit too much. I do like the one with just the two undersaucer pods though...

What do you all think?
