My Guess as to what the next one will be about.

Tribble puncher

Captain

My official Guess is the next movie will be The Planet Killer from the OS ep. "The Doomsday Machine". Plenty of opportunity for Special FX there...Of course there is a very high chance that I'm wrong, as we already had a planet killing starship in ST'09. but this is my guess that I'm throwing in the hat.

Doomsday Machine would be cool, so would Klingons.

Next movie will probably be the main cast trying to explain why the Enterprise needs a crew of hundreds of people even though Federation now has technology for ships that can be piloted by one man. :rommie:

I think the next one will have the following things in it:

Klingons
Cumberbatch
War

Beyond that I have no idea!

They could take a page out of Shatnerverse/STO and go the V'Ger + Ilia = Borg route.

The Klingon "war" (I use the term loosely.) will be in the movie in some form of backdrop. My guess is the teaser will involve the Enterprise in a skirmish of some sort.

My guess is they'll probably pick up smack dab in the middle of the five year mission, with the crew doing some cool Star Trek stuff, and then they'll have to contend with the Klingons.

It would be really cool if they build on some more of the strange new worlds they've got going on. Niburu was a lot of fun. More of that would be great.

My plot Guess:The Klingons and Federation have begun negotiations, on the eve of signing the khitomer accords, a mysterious object appears in Klingon space, and begins destroying entire worlds. They assume it's some sort of ultimate weapon created by the Federation and declare war. Kirk and Co. race to find out the real cause before more lives are lost. what they find is an indestructable juggernaut of immense power that could spell doom for the Klingons and Federation alike.

Sounds like the backcover of one of the novels. :p

They will encounter the Guardian of Forever and will need to bring Shatner back, his echo which is still in the Nexus.

Was kinda what I was going for, upon rereading it it sounds crappy now. I just don't see the next Star Trek movie being a war film, I also don't see the next villian being a person, Plus you have to remember, the very end of the movie took place a full year after they caught Kahn, so if there was going to be a war, it prob would have been going on by that point, especially if the start of said war was because of Kahn killing a Klingon "Squadron".

I would say a Klingon war. The whole 'war is inevitable' line from Marcus was a very big foreshadow.
Honestly, I think it's more akin to "Saddam has WMD."

Yeah, Klingons as a culture have never given any indication of being ruthless, barbaric, war-like, or driven by conflict. What a silly idea.

Seriously, though, I think that's unnecessary. Marcus may have been a murdering psycho himself, but I think he's probably absolutely right about the Klingons, and a certain naivety in Starfleet.
