How did I not see this trailer until just now?!
I knew a film adaptation was in the works but I hadn't heard anything about it in ages. I grew up reading and loving these books so I'm thrilled a proper adaptation is finally here!
While it looks like it strays from the original novel's narrative (the first one's premise is pretty basic), it looks like it captures the spirit of the adventure just right. The wonderfully-unique animation feels like the perfect fit for this story!
I can only hope this film gets a wide audience, not just from people such who grew up on these wonderful books, but also people new to the story. I would love to see all three of the books adapted.
