My DW books as PDFs for lockdown reading

It's not the same as hosting a live rewatch, but I've gone and pirated my own books, risking the wrath of BBC copyright, put all my old Dr Who books up here in this folder in PDF format - some are duplicates for some reason, but, there you go. They're all long out of print, but might be worth it for fans in lockdown. #doctorwho Feel free to share in other DW groups- I'm not on all of them.

Thank you! :techman:

This is especially welcome because I have vision issues that mean I can't read printed books (until I get new glasses, which isn't happening any time soon as optometrists are deemed non-essential where I live). But online reading works, so this is very welcome.

David, a question about Sanctuary. Well, Guy de Carnac, really. I have the BBV audio, Quality of Mercy. Am I imagining this, or was there talk of an original novel back in those days, too? My memory is telling me there was supposed to be another Guy de Carnac project, but it's been so long I don't remember what.

Very kind of you!

There still is - it's been through various publishers who no longer exist, and got changed from a trilogy to a duology, and got sidelined when I spent several years writing and editing for Osprey, but it's still in the works, hopefully from Obverse.

I have a question about The Dark Path. I think the PDF is missing some lines on page 155, because there's a passage that doesn't seem to make sense:

The woman nodded apologetically as she returned, now wearing
something more resembling a catsuit. ‘I wonder how Koschei’s going
to take this.’
The Doctor looked surprised. ‘What? You mean he doesn’t know
you’re one of us?’
‘I was instructed not to tell him. I was placed on Earth to wait for
Koschei. I was to make occasional reports on Koschei’s activities.
There was some doubt over his stability, but everything I’ve seen
shows him to be the most level-headed man I know. Or at least, he
was. The Doctor’s face was a mask of horror. ‘What was I supposed
to do? Tell all and get hauled up in front of a tribunal? Stay on Earth
with its food riots and constant wars? It seemed sensible enough at
the time.’
‘Some bargains are like buying a used spaceship from a Usurian
– you may find that it costs more than what you paid for it.

It looks like there's some content missing between "at least, he was." and "The Doctor's face...", something that would establish why he's so horrified and what the bargain is he mentions in the next paragraph.

That's page 256 in the print version, and there's not more scene there, but the PDF seems to be missing the close-dialogue quotes after 'at least he was' - the Doctor's reaction in in the middle of her explanation.

That said there were a lot of editorial changes on that one so it could still have had something hacked from there before it actually came out.
