I remember back in the day I actually cared about that because I was in the top ten or five for total posts I think and I was always checking the stats to see if someone was overtaking me. It's kinda silly looking back on it now I take it Jethro Elvis and Katie aren't here anymore?

Wait are you kidding about the wedding or just the baby? Not married yet, but we've been engaged for four years now! The missus is a librarian did you know that? I just got a new job as a bank teller and that's going well. I wrote a book (epic fantasy) but haven't gotten it published yet but that was four years ago.

Is it Taboo to say I miss the Lisa years. Bonz is great, don't get me wrong, but there was something "Special" going on when Lisa was running the board.

There was a lot more drama (not Lisa's fault,) back then. Trolls attacking, mods fighting.

It's dull under my watch, but I wanted it settled down.

I miss my friends from those early days (2000-2002.) We had loads of fun. Very few of them are still here.

Happy anniversary, Mr. Light. I'll hit my decade on April Fool's Day.

My how things have changed. I've been here for almost 9 years now. And I do remember frequently checking my post count and trying to post 100 times a day and ridiculous stuff like that. I was actually the #2 poster for around a year.

I think one benefit for not having those Week that Was threads is I really no longer care about my post count. Probably that, and I have a long way to go to get to 32,000 posts but it wasn't like before where I was checking my profile page almost daily to see how many posts I had.

And boy was it important. Not a lot to do when I was 14. We didn't have cable and I couldn't drive or have a job. I just sat down at the TrekBBS and talked about Star Trek for 12 hours a day.

Not that a whole lot has changed in that regard. I just care a lot less about my status.

Yep. I didn't join until after I had to stop working. Then I started to stay up late and discovered DS9, and went hunting for fellow fans.

Lex is doing great. She lives in Massachusetts and works in a good company. She's getting married in February, and my house is filling up with all the stuff necessary for a proper wedding.

She still hates UF though.
