My 2010 games list...so far....*Sigh*

Great. Now that you've actually forced me to compile a list, I'm wondering if I'll be able to afford all of this.

PS3:
Preordered Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Preordered MAG
Preordered Grand Turismo 5
Max Payne 3
EVE Dust 514 (assuming it's on PS3)

PC:
Preordered Star Trek: Online
All Points Bulletin
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Black Prophecy
Earthrise
Jumpgate Evolution

Super Mario Galaxy 2
Lufia 2 DS
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
StarCraft II (If it comes out)

That's it.

Since I'm a war nut I am really looking forward To Battlefield Bad Company 2. Darksiders looks interesting, but I will wait until I read the reviews from people who buy it.

Some definite one day purchases for me include Command and Conquer 4 (been following the franchise from its birth, I should be there for its death :( ), Mass Effect 2, and Final Fantasy XIII...though more out of habit than actually looking forward to the title. I'm also looking forward to splinter cell conviction, though I feel as if I should finish Double Agent first haha. Everything else is pretty much on my wait and see list.

While there is no word about its release in the US, hopefully Persona 3 Portable will see an American release in 2010. it would instantly become my top choice for the year

The only ones that I'll be getting for sure are:

Mass Effect 2
Final Fantasy XIII
Fallout New Vegas
Dante's Inferno

I may pick up a few others, but it'll all depend on various factors.

Hopeless optimist that I am, I'm still holding out for BG&E 2. Though realistically, Valve are more likely to release Half-Life Episode 3 before the new 'Beyond Good and Evil' sees the light of day, which is really saying something.

As for the rest, the only other upcoming games that have peeked my curiosity are Fallout New Vegas & Deus Ex 3, though in both cases I'm somewhat sceptical and will defiantly wait for the reviews to come in.
I've only recently got my hands on Mass Effect so am undecided as to whether or not I want to play the sequel. So far I like it, but glad I didn't pay £30 for it on release.

Atlus has to deal with too many MegaTen games!

But yeah, instant buy for me. I've got to get my Japanese high-school girl on, after all.

Dude, my backlog of games is probably 30 deep at the moment. Don't come talking to me about all the great shit coming out next year!

Unfortunately I'm way past the point of buying games the day of release. I'll probably get to several of the mentioned ones eventually though.

Mass Effect 2 is the only day-1-purchase. The rest is dependent on reviews, demo's etc.

Me too, so far, but there are a handful of games that I am very interested that are close to day-1 purchases.

Max Payne 3
Bioshock 2
WoW: Cataclysm
The Old Republic (if I can get it to run)
AvP
Alan Wake
FF13

That's about it for games that I am aware of off of the top of my head

Damn, forgot about Bioshock 2 :scream:

I never got the appeal of BioShock. Admittedly I only played the demo but it just felt like a System Shock 2 with Fallout's art direction. I suppose to younger gamers who never played those older titles it seamed new and fresh, so perhaps I'm just starting to show my age.

I don't like horror games but I loved Bioshock a lot. The atmosphere, the story, the creepiness, the difficulty setting and instant resurrections preventing frustration, it was great.

I only just got Dragon Age and a couple other RPGs. For a casual player like me, those will take a while to get through.

FFXIII, Bioshock 2 and Alan Wake look great so far.

I don't think anyone's mentioned Bayonetta yet. It looks pretty amazing, if over-the-top and super-sexualized :)

Yeah my part time job became full time a month or two back and it's really cut into my gaming time. It's taking me a really long time to play though Dragon Age.

I want to play through Mass Effect again before Mass Effect 2 but I don't know if I will have the time.

Just reading about Mass Effect 2 on Wiki all the changes etc and I think this might just turn out to be the greatest game of all time  January 21st cannot come quick enough. I've decided whatever happens the 1st time around (like I did with Mass Effect 1) that will be the file I take over to Mass Effect 3. If Sheppard dies I might just :( cry ;).

Yeah, I'm so hyped for ME2 it isn't funny. Dragon Age was fun and all, but it was just a distraction from the wait for Mass Effect 2, IMO.
