Must-have PS3 games

I treated myself to a PS3 with my holiday bonus yesterday - I got the 320G LBP2 edition.

I have ordered Batman: Arkham Asylum, and am thinking of buying Uncharted 2 and inFamous soon.

What are some of the other "OMG! GET THIS ONE NOW!" games for PS3? :)

Muchas gracias!

"Arkham Asylum" is the only MUST HAVE game that I've played on PS3. I did really enjoy "Little Big Planet," though.

Both Uncharted games are good though number 2 is VERY VERY good, do not let any rough edges around UC1 cloud your judgement about number 2. MGS 4 but if you have not played the others then don't bother at all. I would also say Heavy Rain is worth a pickup especially if you like story driven games, Dead Space games are pretty fun too.

Yeah, Uncharted 2, obviously. Loved that game to bits. What's amazing is they created an actual viable story that you could see at the movies, so the story is not a let down for the sake of being a game, where game sequences don't always match up, and the story wasn't an afterthought.

Personally, I really like GT5, but then I like racing in general, but it is a must have if you like racing.

I got MGS4 with my bundle, and I haven't played it much. Not really my type of game though, and I find the controls quite clunky. I think I might give it to my brother who's more into those kind of games.

Bioshock is a very good FPS, another game I had a a lot of fun with would be Brutal Legend. Mass Effect 2 is one of my all time favorite games, and you don't need to worry about playing the first one, there's a comic book recap at the beginning that covers everything you need to know. I'm also a huge fan of the LEGO platformers, which for PS3 would be with my favorite being LEGO Batman (I actually played the PS2 version of this one but it's also out for PS3), and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean. The LEGO games are great multiplayer games, my mom and I have played them all together and we've had a blast. Resistance: Fall of Man is really good too.

Motorstorm 1/2.
Heavy rain.
Resistance :Fall of man 1/2.
Folklore.
Wipeout HD.
Burnout paradise.
Killzone 2.
God of war Collection.
God of war 3.
Flower.

PS3 games? If you like the Metal Gear Solid series, MGS4 is decent enough. If you like tactical RPGs, Disgaea 3 will scratch that itch. I hear the Uncharted series is pretty good, and all three God of War games have been released for the system.

Beyond that, there are a number of good cross-platform titles available. Figuring those out should be simple enough, but I recommend Mass Effect 2 at the very least (if you plan on never purchasing a Xbox 360). The PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia is also the better one.

In addition i would recommend:

Valkyria Chronicles
Yakuza 3
Tekken 6
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
Saboteur
Race driver GRiD
The Ratchett & Clank games
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 & 2
Darksiders
Blur
Alpha Protocol

Oh, yeah I forgot about the Ratchet and Clank games, R&C is one of my all time favorite video series, and the two PS3 games are (IMO) the best of the bunch. There's also a downloadable game that takes place between these two, but I haven't play. Also love Infamous, and cannot reccomend it highly enough. There's a sequel to Infamous coming out next month, so if you want to check it out now would be a good time.
The Assassin's Creed games are also a favorite of mine, well the second and third one, I never finished the first.

Killzone 2
