You know that BSG's music (and BTW I refuse to call it nuBSG, that's too reminiscent of things like "nuMetal" or nuGoth"

which is silly considering how superior the new BSG is to the old one) would beat Trek music by much more than 20% of votes if we were on any neutral forum. It's not even a contest. I would have a hard time even remembering any music from Trek shows other than the opening credits, and they are mostly bland as well. And I certainly wouldn't listen Trek music on its own. OTOH, I always enjoy listening BSG soundtracks for hours, and I know people who have become hooked on it by just hearing a couple of tracks, even though they have never even see BSG and aren't familiar with it. Giacchino's score for the new movie is better, but still miles behind Bear McCreary's work.
