Multi region DVD disks on HD DVD players

Does anyone know if all the regions will play on a HD DVD or Blue Ray machine.
I currently have may region 1 and a few 4 and want to know if they will still play on a HD player bought in the UK

Currently there is no region coding on HD DVDs. There isn't even a standard although there are working groups to develope one.

^ That's true, but I believe the OP is asking about playing regular DVDs on HD DVD and Blu-ray units. Anyway, Blu-ray units are definitely region locked and I'm 99% certain that HD DVD units are as well.
