I just can't let an opportunity to say Kes wasn't hot pass me by
I'm petty like that.

I'm petty like that.
Then why is everybody pissed?
Huh? When did I blame Ryan for anything?
It has been years since I sat down and watched the extras on the Voyager DVDs, but I do remember some of the actors, when talking about Lien, were sad to see her go. They didn't, of course, say anything about Ryan coming on board. But human nature being what it is, if what those actors were saying was true and they missed Lien, they could have at least initially resented having to work with Ryan, the reason Lien was essentially fired. It's the Gates McFadden thing all over again, but they brought Crusher back after her missing season. Jennifer Lien getting fired probably destroyed moral for the actors on the set though.
Well, we don't know if any of this is true, but if it is, it could be any reason they didn't get along. Sometimes, people just don't like other people who didn't say or do anything wrong, and it is as simple as that, too. And, it doesn't mean a person is evil for not liking someone else for that, either.Mulgrew had no reason to complain. As captain, she always remained the lead character on the show.
Also thought racial issues for some reason would still be important in the future, so we got the bizarre "Far Beyond the Stars" and holodeck episode where Sisko complains about how blacks were treated in the past..

Also I am not a Republican, so we differ in that respect too. :P

And you assume Jeri's a conservative Republican... why?
Kes is not hot, was never hot, could never be hot. She went from being like some Happy Days girl in a poodle skirt to looking like a jaded PTA mom and there was no hotness in between. And yes I believe there are hot versions of both the poodle skirt and the PTA mom but Kes was not one of them. Ever.
Every single person on that ship including Neelix was hotter than Kes.
