MST3K rapes your childhood!

 That's pretty funny! I'll take it that's the treatment everything they "view" gets? I may have to start trying to find episodes.

You've never seen MST3K?

Yeah, it's great. Personally I prefer the Mike Nelson years to the Joel Hodgson years, but all ten seasons have some really funny riffs.

The best tend to be the movies where there was an actual but usually severely botched attempt to make a good film or at least tell a story--like Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, Time Chasers, Parts: the Clonus Horror, Space Mutiny, and personal fave The Final Sacrifice--instead of the stereotypical 1950s B-movies the gang is more famous for ripping on. With a lot of those, it's clear that the creators just through crap onto a screen for teenagers to make out in front of, whether it was entertaining or even supposed to be, or not. Now, the movies actually trying to be movies (but failing), a lot more happens to make fun of...

The shorts they use to fill up the airtime against a short movie are excellent to watch by themselves, since a full episode of MST requires a bit of a time investment (about an hour and a half, even after commercials are cut out).

^^

Volume 4: Space Mutiny ("Slab Squatthrust!"; sfx stolen from original BSG), Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, The Girl in Gold Boots and Hamlet - some of the best ones here. :bolian:

SPACOM!

SPACOM!

Time Chasers, A Touch of Satan and Boggy Creek II. A damn-near perfect set.

:)

Check out Cinematic Titanic, Rifftrax, and now, the Film Crew, for all the guys working together again in various combinations.

MST3K is sorely missed!

Man they have some funny quotes.
"To the jibletmobile!"
"This movie makes me want to rescind my Toyota...."

You can watch a bunch on Youtube, but search Googlevideo to see more.

See this link for a list of episodes:
http://atlasgeekography.weebly.com/mystery-science-theater-3000.html

And then do a title search through google video:
http://video.google.com/?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hl=en&tab=wv

Between Youtube and Google Video you can watch most of the series. These insane guys have carried me through many a night of homesickness!

Besides the good ones mentioned in the thread, here are some other classics:

The Girl in Lover's Lane
Godzilla vs Megalon
Teenagers from Space
It Conquered the World
Manos: The Hands of Fate
This Island Earth (the mst3K movie)
Escape 2000 (Leave the Bronx!)
Jack Frost
Diabolik

Shorts:
Mr B Natural
Spring Fever
Out of this world
Design for Dreaming

But you really can't go wrong with any episode... These guys are sharp as tacks.

^As for shorts don't forget the one with Springy. The riffs are hilarious, and an omnipotent anthropomorphic personification of all things spring is terrifying in its way.

The best short is Mr B Natural. It is one of the most bizarre commercials ever created ...
My favorite episode is Jack Frost, with Space Mutiny in close second ...

There's also Cheesy Flicks.com which offers DVDs of all of the episodes not available on retail DVD.

(Justified by the fact that the creators of MST3K encouraged the spreading of tapes of their show.)
