Mr Robot is Coming.

Same here. I'm disappointed, but I understand, as well.

It looks like I might have to manually record the finale with my DVR, as this week's repeat of last week's episode was branded as the finale. I'd suggest everybody double-check, to make sure the finale's not auto-skipped by your machine for whatever reason, such as it "thinking" it had already recorded it within a certain time-frame.

That was awesome. So, did Tyrell execute the program? Did he roofie Elliot or did Elliot blackout as one of his many other personalities took over? And the BD Wong character.........what the actual fuck?!?!

I loved that episode. I loved the moment when Elliot looked at Tyrell's wife and knew instinctively that she was a psycho. I even loved the music, as I was actually able to sing along with almost all the songs.

Damn it. I miss the show already. Bring on season 2!

I think Tyrell modified the encryption code so he will be able to become the corporate hero and recover it all.

The thing is I don't get Elliots subconscious telling him it was a good deal.

The Chinese hacker leader being in with Ecorp was a big WTF. Maybe it is all just driving down the value of other corporations for takeover purposes (as to why Ecorp CEO is so nonplussed)

Did the FSociety video seem like it was Tyrell? I didn't care enough to examine it but that was my initial reaction.

I thought it might be; the way that Elliot was scrutinizing it made me think he knew something was off.

Great show.

If the Dark Army is in effect in with E Corp,* then that means that backups in China likely weren't actually destroyed. That would explain why the CEO of E Corp isn't worried, since it's actually all happening according to the plan he is a part of, and E Corp could save the day by restoring the records whenever/if ever it suits their purposes.

Now, who was at the door!

* - Don't forget to stick around for that post-credits scene!

---

P.S. One other possibility might be that E Corp CEO Price only thinks that the Dark Army didn't destroy the backups in China. Maybe White Rose is double-crossing him!

I got the impression that the final scene was a flashback. The CEO was talking about dealing with Tyrell and Whiterose's watch beeps as the attack began. That's why he made the Nero comment at that point.

That's an interesting read on that scene. I wouldn't put it past this show to play around with non-linear post-credit scenes.

My own read: I took the watch beep to signal that he was due to leave the party, hence BD Wong's uncomfortable, slight squirm in his chair when the E-Corp exec told him to relax and enjoy the moment. Resisting the summons of the beep, I thought, really grated on his whole "I hack time" shtick.

Sorry for the thread necromancy but I just discovered this show and finished my Season One marathon. Man, those last three episodes were INCREDIBLE. I had it begged from the get-go that Mr. Robot was Tyler Durden, but never in a million years did I see that Darlene was his sister and Mr. Robot was his dead father. What an amazing plot twist!

And the scene where Robot says "they're going to try to take me away from you, but I will never leave you Elliot, do you hear me? I'll never leave you". That really choked me up. Not only is this his other personality talking, but it's his yearning for his dead father and his childhood abandonment issues... that was powerful.

My only complaint about the show is not enough Christian Slater! I really hope he appears more often in Season Two.

BTW I spent the early episodes convinced that ALL the hackers were in his imagination until we finally had a scene showing them without Elliot being present. Did anyone else think that?
