Moving Wallpaper series 2

Bob The Skutter

Complete Arse Cleft
In Memoriam
Moving Wallpaper series 2 starts on the Friday the 27th at 9pm. I really enjoyed the first series, and I've been looking forward to the second series for ages. I think the new zombie series/pilot they're working on has the potential for more comedy than the soap did, so this series has the potential to be better than the first, which surprised me by how good it was. Good comedy on ITV, who'd have thought that was possible.

Moving Wallpaper - 9.00pm ITV1/HD
Second series of the TV-based comedy. The production team from Moving Wallpaper face a new challenge to come up with a hit show for ITV. Cornish surfing soap Echo Beach has been cancelled and the writers are out of a job. Can egocentric producer Jonathan Pope find his next big idea? And will everyone else manage to cover up his trail of faux pas? Featuring guest star Kelly Brook.

I enjoyed moving wallpaper hope its has good has the first series.
Glad the other show is not coming back what was it called something beech? horrible show.

Echo Beach. it wouldn't have been so bad if it was a parody of a soap, but it took itself seriously, which made it just another soap cribbing off the other soaps storylines, so was pointless.

yes ive said this before Echo Beach was awful, glad that Moving Wallpapers has survived without it, still im annonyed that it clashes with NCIS & 30 Rock.

Not to mention QI (at leaset Ben Miller did that last week, before Moving Wallpaper came back), and (if you care, or are just giving it one more chance) Virgin's repeats of Enterprise. Oh, and Being Human over on BBC3, but that's only an if-you-missed-it screening...

She was on Smallville for a few episodes... from what I remember she was at least as good as half the cast, but that's not saying much.

Really? Oh, sorry, you were talking about the Smallville cast, so...
But as far as I remember, most of her scenes were with Michael Rosenbaum, and she still sucked the life out of them.

I did come up with a theory of stage presence, on the analogy of nuclear physics, as a result of seeing Kelly Brook's attempts to act: if you put Brian Blessed, and Peter O'Toole, and similar OTT actors together on the same stage, you would get a chain reaction leading to a disastrous detonation.
But nuclear reactors control that by introducing graphite moderator rods which absorb the radioactive particles. In the same sense, if you introduced Kelly Brook into a scene filled with OTT actors, she would absorb all the ACTING, and smother it, and it'd be safe.

I'm going from memory, I only ever saw those episodes once. So I'm probably wrong, but I'd guess she'd be fine playing an over the top version of herself...

Anyone still watching? I'm still loving the show. I just wish I thought it had any chance of getting a third series.

no way its going to get a 3rd series, I dont think that 2nd series was as good as the first, I wont watch the zombie thing till tomorrow, to tried tonight, and the ITV Player (nicely plugged) is shit.

 Yes it is. I just watched it, it was a fun little thing but pretty bad quality, there's sound drop outs, bad acting and bad fight scenes. But I wish it'd had been an actual pilot movie/2 parter.

I know there's no chance of a 3rd series and I think after that ending the producers don't expect a 3rd series either, which is a shame. If we compare it to a similarly premised show, I think I prefer it to 30 Rock.

30Rock is the better show, but its not nearly enough about the production and the staffers of The Girlie Show With Tracey Morgan, its really about, Liz & Jack who work in the building of a large cooperation , with a few wacky characters throw in for easy laughs (Tracy & Kenneth)

That said I want Studio 60 back.

I think the only thing left for Moving Wallpaper is if it started being about the production of Primeval, I just cant quite decide what would be the easiest way to handle Ben Miller is the lead in both shows, im thinking, long lost twin brother, Ben plays back Pope & the fictional Ben Miller who is the total opposite of Pope. However I was rather hoping that Lesters boss would be played by the woman who plays Nancy in Moving Wallpaper.

of course now ive just wondered into crazy land.

I was just starting to watch more of ITV then they ran out of money for dramas.
Now this is done i think i am done with ITV.
