Movies you can watch whenever they're on...

The Time Machine, with Rob Taylor. If I'm clicking channels and stumble upon this, I always have to stop and watch.

Also:
Rear Window
The Birds
JAWS
Local Hero
Singing in the Rain
My Favorite Year

All great choices (although I admit I've never seen Local Hero).

But the nitpicky editor in me has to point out that it's Rod Taylor, not Rob. Great movie, though. Probably my favorite George Pal film, although The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao gives it a run for it's movie. Wonderful music as well. I listen to the soundtrack album all the time . . . .

  • Star Trek: Nemesis
  • Tron: Legacy
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey
  • To Kill A Mockingbird
Mind you, I don't watch none of them in their entirety, but if they're on I'm more than likely to leave my TV on whatever channel they're on and catch several moments I'm fond of from each.

The OP excluded Trek movies, but since that seems to be sliding, let me thrown in The Wrath of Khan and The Voyage Home as well . . . ..

Die Hard and/ or its first 2 sequels

Any of the Bourne movies

Raiders

Airplane

Star Trek TWOK, TVH, TUC, FC, '09

The Rock or Con Air

Any Star Wars movie

The Big Lebowski

Superman I or II

Batman Begins

Oh, yes. That was definitely a typo on my part.
I LOVE the Time Machine.

And you should give Local Hero a try. It's a wonderful little movie.

The Shawshank Redemption...anytime that I encounter it while channel surfing I'll stop and watch it no matter what part of the film it is...beginning, middle or end.

Lately, I find myself running across Pulp Fiction a lot, usually tuning in when Christopher Walken meets Butch.

I'll watch Inception whenever I can. I've seen Ice Pirates more times than I care to admit. I've seen Big Trouble in Little China more times than I can count, last year on the big screen for the first time.

Wild Wild West (yes, *that* movie)
Dogma
Independence Day

If I'm surfing channels and see that one of these is on, I'm likely to sit and watch it to the end. Every single time.

And I own all three on DVD. LOL
