Movies/Series Coming To Netflix Streaming

Those Netflix updates were damn annoying. When it happens on top of Sony making you to spend 15 minutes updating the whole system to add some stupid little add-on, it's VERY annoying.

Just glancing at a recent status update on Facebook about how Sony is requiring PS3 users to accept a new Terms of Service agreement before signing in, there are comments such as:

and this incredible bit of insight:

Netflix sucks dick

then there's this gem:

f tht jst stop tkn fkn streamng movies off amazon is blwn you away, yout tkn all my good movies u suck i mght cacel your dumn asses

I mean, I had to accept the new Agreement today to use my PS3, but it only delayed my Netflix watching about 5 seconds while I clicked "Accept."

Roku gets firmware updates, too, and most of them are directly due to Netflix. I love Netflix, and I realize they're trying to be versatile and available for many different formats, but it does get frustrating at times. Still, I can put up with it as long as the other 99% of the time, they deliver.

I just hate that Sony prevents you from playing games online or harasses you while you're watching Netflix just so you can get the Blu-ray 3D add-on... I don't have or want a 3DTV!

I hope Roku never decides to advertise while movies are playing!

To the first point, given how bandwidth-intensive streaming video is, I can't imagine you have the internet connection to both play online games and have Netflix running in the background. That just doesn't seem possible. As for in-movie ads ... holy shit, that's awful. Thank God that doesn't happen on Xbox Live.

This is why I love it here, Star Trek fans making fun of the insane Star Trek fans.

And the PoS3 is a piece of shit... shocking that Sony still doesn't know what's it is doing making games. it's why they don't have any franchises.

I just found and added Gangs of New York. I've actually seen it two or three times, but it's a favorite of mine and I've been wanting to watch it again for a while.
EDIT: Just a few minutes after I added GoNY, I found and added Toy Story 3.

I've been checking everyday. Does everything always pop up with a release date or will some stuff just pop up?
Instantwatcher.com lists upcoming titles that are to be added by their dates, so checking there every now and then helps.

And the newly acquired CBS/Paramount shows will no doubt be added in waves, rather than dumped on all at once. I wish they would give us some clue as to when Trek will be added.
Another site that provides start dates for titles is http://feedfliks.com/streaming/just-arrived/title

I knew it would take awhile before we got our Treks, but I didn't think we'd have to wait this long..

Netflix

We just received updated details that The original Star Trek, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek Voyager and Star Trek: The Next Generation will be available on July 1st.
From Netflix's official Twitter page.

Start the countdown..T minus 2 months 3 weeks and counting.

Interesting they don't include DS9 in that, unless it past 140 characters and it was their next tweet.

I noticed that too, but I'm thinking it was just an oversight. Sigh, DS9, always getting overlooked. Whine. Snarl, Grrr.

Dang! Oh well, still great that they're coming. Can't wait to watch TNG again from the beginning.

EDIT: It now says DS9 will be available in October.

They are really good about sending out tweets. Just tweeted them and they said DS9 will be coming out in October.

October? And The Sisko sighs again. Rips open a wormhole over Netflix HQ and stares angrily.

Why so quick for the others when cable outlets have broadcast rights to TNG, VOY and ENT, but DS9 which isn't under license to any cable channel must take a back seat? :scream:

How does that even make sense? I mean, if they were staggering every series, that would kind of be understandable, but what's the point in releasing four shows in July and then one in October?

Maybe some channel has exclusive airing rights until then, even though I haven't seen it on a TV grid in a long time.
