Movies/Series Coming To Netflix Streaming

Wonder Years! Awesome. Thats a great series.

I'm also glad that Netflix is keeping all of the FOX shows. It would have sucked to have lost those shows from streaming.

April 1st was a great day for Netflix stuff.

I've already watched the first episode of Twilight Zone, plus MacGyver (episode 1) and Wings. I plan to watch other stuff soon.

Man, I hope Star Trek is up soon too. :)

Cheers, Ally McBeal, Sons of Anarchy, and The Wonder Years? Netflix must not want me to get any sleep...

Sons of Anarchy (the first two seasons), Glee (the first season), and Ally McBeal are online now.

I'm confused about something? The whole Joss Wheadon thing about all the shows coming off Netflix on April 1st (That was reported in early march) was just an April Fools Joke? Firefly is still on, and in my instant queue. What is going on there?

Also, nice to see new shows (And recent shows) being added lately. Seems like the backlash against Netflix (Showtime and Starz saying we're delaying shows 90 days after they air) was a bit premature?

Like I said, I'm very confused.

It wasn't an April Fool's joke -- the previous contract with FOX expired on April 1, which is why instantwatcher.com had them listed as expiring. A new agreement was made with FOX, with the addition of Glee and some other shows. The new contract runs through April 1, 2012.

I've been checking everyday. Does everything always pop up with a release date or will some stuff just pop up?

Instantwatcher.com lists upcoming titles that are to be added by their dates, so checking there every now and then helps.

And the newly acquired CBS/Paramount shows will no doubt be added in waves, rather than dumped on all at once. I wish they would give us some clue as to when Trek will be added.
Another site that provides start dates for titles is http://feedfliks.com/streaming/just-arrived/title

As I said in the general trek thread:

Keep in mind that trekkies will be complaining to netflix about every glitch (even if it it's just that the god-awful TNG clip-show episode isn't available). I believe the announcement said "early april" rather than april 1.

Let's give them some time to get their act together.

[Homer Simpson] 30 seconds?! But I want it nooooow! [/Homer Simpson]

Were I working at Netflix and started having glitches putting up CBS products...

Star Trek would be the absolute last show I would put out (after I was sure all the glitches were worked out).

No kidding. When you're looking at the possibility of untold legions of nerds unleashing hell upon discovery that Star Trek is having choppy playback ... you make sure you have it right.

I predict online petitions with thousands of signatures with titles along the lines of "We will cut off all money to Netflix unless the error from 12 minutes 20 seconds to 12 minutes 25 seconds in the Best of Both Worlds Part 1 is corrected!"

Have you ever read any of the comments on their Facebook page or official blog? That's actually fairly accurate.

No...but I'm really not surprised...

Just glancing at a recent status update on Facebook about how Sony is requiring PS3 users to accept a new Terms of Service agreement before signing in, there are comments such as:

NO DOUBT...I HAVE TO UPDATE EVERY TIME I GET ON THE NETFLIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IM GETTING FED UP WITH IT AND IM GONNA THROW A ROCK AT IT--------------TWICE---------WHATS THE DEAL NETFLIX?????????????????????????????????????????????

and this incredible bit of insight:
