Movie or Series?

How do you know they were using the lock? Could have been typing while holding down the shift key with their pinky finger the whole time.

:)

I wouldn't mind seeing them use the Game of Thrones format of 10-15 high quality episodes a year. With a story arc.
And just like syndication was the way to go in 1987, a simultaneous release on Netflix would be the thing to do now.

series no question. series you get more character driven story than action and explosions.

Movies, please.

There's already more stuff on tv than I can watch in a week. I'd have to be home 24/7 in front of the tv to see everything that interests me, but unfortunately I have to visit the outside world 40-50 hours a week.

Adding a Trek series to the mix just wouldn't work for me.

Besides that, I don't think Les Moonves has changed his mind about new Trek on tv.

I would love to see a new series, but I do not think there will be one until the current bunch of movies has run it's course. If they did another series I wish it would be a 24th century based one.

But will there be more movies after the third one? And if so, will we get yet another reboot? Just look at Batman, Hulk and Spiderman. Hollywood likes 're-imagining' the same thing over and over.

Personally I'd like a new TV-series in the prime universe with better production values. If that means fewer episodes per season, so be it. Quality over quantity.

Quantity might be something a new series would be stuck with. If it would be on regular network TV they would likely want more episodes for increased viewership and all the commercials that go along with it. The side effect of this is all of the filler episodes.

Thinking about it just now, I could deal with a limited series of 8 or so episodes. Kinda like what Galavant just did, with a clear beginning, middle, and (possibly open) end.

But I wouldn't want it set in the "prime" universe. That horse has been beaten to a bloody pulp.

If they decided not to go back to the Prime Universe for another series, then I'd want a full an proper reboot of the franchise--none of this alternate timeline crap. I'd be happier with that.

Keep the core concept (telling important, relevant stories whilst boldly going) and names but alter/augment/change just about everything else. Have the focus be on the people and their development, give it substance not just explosions and boobs.

No augments, please.

Same here. And as I don't have cable or satellite myself, I wouldn't be able to see said series, anyway.
