Movie based games that don't suck.

The movie-based game genre is maligned, name some that don't suck.

For me:

Ghostbusters The Video Game for Xbox360 and PS3.
The Chronicles of Riddick 1 and 2 for Xbox, Xbox360 and PS3.
Aladdin for Genesis.
The Lion King for Genesis.
Ghostbusters for Genesis.
Batman for Genesis and NES.
Batman Returns for SNES and Genesis.
Spider-Man 1 & 2 for Gamecube and PS2.
The Godfather for PS2.
Willow for NES.
Gremlins 2 for NES.
Die Hard for Arcade.
The Warriors for PS2.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine for Xbox360 and PS3.

I've always enjoyed Jaws for the NES. It's a pretty good game in an Atari 2600 sort of way.

I thought some of the older Star Wars games were good (But depending on your point of view might not qualify as the ones I'm thinking of weren't movie specific)

Riddick was great.

Don't think I've played a lot of other games based on movies. (I have the other way round though)

Goldeneye Die Hard Trilogy + Die Hard Arcade Can't think of anymore. Films generally don't make good games and vice versa.

Another vote for Riddick. Its probably the best example of a movie based game. So much so that the game was actually better than the film :p

The LOTR games were pretty good, fun hack-and-slash games. I'm talking about the ones based on The Two Towers and Return of the King, not the various other tie-in games that mostly sucked ass.

I'm trying to think of tie-in games that I've actually played, and to be honest I think I avoided most of them because of their reputation for being utter shite.

Everything or Nothing
From Russia With Love (Hey, I liked it)
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb

The Little Mermaid for the NES.

Another fantastic Disney platformer (sorta) from Capcom.

The Battle for Middle Earth games were pretty fun.

Not exactly a movie game but the first Buffy game on the Xbox was pretty good. I didn't really like the second that much though.

There are some movie games that aren't directly based on a movie that I've enjoyed, such as the Kingdom Hearts games, Ghostbusters the Videogame, the Rogue Squadron series, the KotOR series, Star Wars Empire at War (best space based RTS battles ever IMO), Star Trek Bridge Commander, the Armada series, the Elite Force series, and Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee (only the first one was good, sadly the series went downhill instead of uphill).

There's been quite a few good Star Wars games though they've mostly been poor since the PT. Some others are the Rogue Squadron series, the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series (except Jedi Knight Academy, they can suck it!), Empire at War was pretty good for a while... plus there was that vector-based arcade shooter from 1983. That thing was pretty sweet!
