Motion Picture Quality episodes

Not long ago the Star Trek DVD sets were still over $100. I was buying was either a Voyager or DS9 set and my girlfriend was getting Stargate for less then half the price of mine and said it was outrageous. But if you watch something like Scorpion parts 1 and 2 it holds up well to movie theater movies, like First Contact. Many episodes had the quality of big films I felt. So my justification was in a sense you are getting a pile of A grade motion pictures. Was I wrong or were these grossly over priced. (Granted the price has dropped dramatically, I think initial prices were $129.00

Over-priced, IMO. Yes, the effects were better, but not THAT much better.

Haha, Im afraid your right, however my girlfriend bought it thats all that counts. Scorpion 1 and 2 sold her as I recall haha

Yeah they have always been over-priced, pretty ridiculously too. I mean who would want to buy just one season anyway? I remember when I was younger, would it be realistic for me to have asked for just one season of a show as a birthday or a Christmas present? I’ve always loved Star-Trek but it’s easy to spot a rip-off like that a mile away. No matter, it just made me that much more determined to acquire all of the seasons via my own means at no cost. If they had made the prices reasonable maybe I would have paid for them.
