Most Underrated Character of All Series

Which character did you think was the most overrated of all series? These characters received the most votes on the polls for their respective shows. There was a tie on the Deep Space Nine and Enterprise polls, so multiple characters will be listed from those shows.

Crusher. Easy. Close second is Kes. I don't think Uhura gets any hate, nor do Phlox, Quark or Ezri (anymore). Jake was in fewer than half of the episodes of DS9 and contributed little to the plot.

Kes. I enjoyed the character. I'm still baffled that she was written out and Chakotay, Tuvok, Neelix, Torres, Paris and Kim were kept around. I don't think I enjoyed a single centric episode about those characters in 7 years.

^I enjoyed "Meld". This time around Neelix and Torres aren't as grating on me. I think the trouble with Harry (ha!) started because of Garrett's issues with the writers and producers. Paris isn't as prominent as I remember, and Chakotay isn't as background. But yeah, Kes was pretty cool. So much wasted story.

Actually I did enjoy Meld now that you mention it but I think that had more to do with the guest star than Tuvok. I didn't actually mind Tuvok. I just didn't find him interesting. He had some good one liners though.

Oh, Brad Dourif is always good. We are doing a rewatch, the first time I've ever seen any Voyager episodes a second time. Just watched Innocence last night. Liked seeing that side of Tuvok.

I voted Quark but is he really underrated? I guess he's one of the turn offs to people who don't 'Get' DS9 and his solo stories can turn too cartoonish, but he's great when paired with non-Ferengi.

Most Underrated for me is Ezri. It made sense to see different hosts for a Trill. I think they even missed an opportunity for some good story lines, they could have had a trill host sacrifice themselves to save Sisko. The trill could come back as someone else and be totally pissed off they had to sacrifice themselves.

Tuvok. Tim Russ was a great Vulcan, his sourpuss was just right. Never gets the credit he deserves as far as I can see (I'd guess because he was so bafflingly underused).

I voted Quark. That dude is a bona fide hero, and one of the few "alien" character that doesn't become totally human in his outlook and attitude by the end of the series.

Voted crusher as most OVERRATED. Never liked her character. So. .. bland.

I don't think Quark is under-rated at all. He's one of my favorite characters in all of Star Trek.
