Most Under appreciated episodes

Lower Decks, Genesis and Conundrum. They are on my favorites list and i don't think they get enough recognition.

Lower Decks is probably in my Top 10 or 15. Dark Page doesn't get a lot of love, but Majel was fantastic in that one.

Remember Me.

Great episode. Great high-concept Sci-Fi, and Gates McFadden shows her acting chops. She's great to play off on Patrick Stewart. The Travelex makes a second appearance. My second favorite episode in TNG.

Agreed the Drumhead and Time's Arrow are great episodes that great forgotten episodes but my favourite is the Inner Light. An excellent episode and a nice bit of sound track.

I can enjoy an over-the-top hammy villain too (i.e. Khan)

Woah, you thought Khan was over-the-top hammy? I'd say he and Moriarty are cut from the same cloth - cool, calculating, and subtle.

If you want to see an example of a hammy, over-the-top villian, watch Malik in ENT's Augment Arc.

Well, maybe not so much in "Space Seed", but definitely in "The Wrath of Khan" with all that "HE TASKS ME AND I SHALL HAVE HIM/I WILL CHASE HIM AROUND PERDITION'S FLAMES" and "buried alive...BURIED ALIVE" business. :D

Agreed the Drumhead and Time's Arrow are great episodes that great forgotten episodes but my favourite is the Inner Light. An excellent episode and a nice bit of sound track.

The Inner Light is not exactly under-appreciated. It may not be as recognized as Best of Both Worlds but its still acknowledged as a very notable episode.

Cost of Living. I agree that there are certain things that could have been done a bit better in the episode - particularly the holodeck stuff - however, I really liked this episode. It is an interesting story about the tension between having to make compromises in life and the importance of staying true to your character. Majel Barrett was brilliant in this - like she was in Half a Life a year earlier.
Also, it is one of the few episodes where two guest stars become friends and the story follows their friendship - while the regular cast are excluded. It happened in Ensign Ro too, with Ro and Guinan. It's interesting because we know much less about the guest stars than we do about the regular crew. In Cost of Living, Lwaxana teaches Alexander a very important lesson that neither Deanna or Worf could teach him.

"Devil's Due" - Just a great, fun episode.
"The Survivors" - One of the best episodes of the series' run. Great music, action, mystery, and more.
"1101001" - Love the score, LOVE the Spacedock SFX, and its a good sci-fi episode all in all.
"The Arsenal of Freedom" - Saucer separation! And, a good action show all around. Cool to see Geordi in command too.
"Tin Man" - Another S3 great sci-fi episode.
"Genesis" - I've always liked the "couple of crew" come back in a shuttle where everything's awry episodes. See VOY's "Macrocosm" and...
"Timescape" - Cool, unique time episode.
"Aquiel" - A competent mystery episode with an enjoyable twist.
"Man of the People" - Definitely a bit different, but a good episode with a villain you love to hate.

"Clues"

It's a bottle show, but is carried on strong performances by Brent Spiner and Patrick Stewart. It's a story that really played on Data's androidness (androidhood?) in the right way--not him trying to understand a joke or reciting the dictionary, but behaving like something that's not human. For my money, it's one of Spiner's stronger episodes, along with "The Most Toys."

I haven't read much on Polaski from Season 2 but she is one of my favorites. The relationship between her and Captain Picard are priceless. Pretty much all of Season 2 but especially Unnatural Selection on their interaction and Up The Long Ladder for the touch of comedy...
