Most shocking event on ENT

^ I think whatever floats your boat counts -- even Christopher Pike's comment about Broken Bow's ass statement.

I still think had they had T'Pol not become a weak human at this point the show would have just completed it's 7 year run.

Agreed. I never minded her becoming more emotional -- a la second season. What I disliked what her becoming human and somewhat incompetent.

The Cogenitor's suicide was pretty shocking and the xindi attack on Earth.Azati Prime after the Enterprise was nearly destroyed by the xindi. The Large hull breaches and seeing crew members get sucked out into space.

The cogenitor's suicide was definitely something I didn't see coming. A real zinger and shock I'm glad the writers had the balls to put in the script so we didn't have another generic "sooner or later, things will get back to normal" ending.

Hi, I'm new here (and very happy to find people who still discuss Enterprise - I only discovered it recently, on DVDs) :)
Very interesting thread - I would say that on the whole Enterprise is far more disturbing than TOS or TNG, for example, and at some point I decided to not watch it with my 9 years old daughter, because some of violence is quite graphic, IMO.
But for me, personally, the most shocking moment was in Similitude, when Archer warns Sim that he will put him to death in order to save Trip. It was really shocking, especially because earlier he seemed to develop some paternal feelings toward him.

- The attack in "The Expanse"
- "Shockwave, Part One's" last scene.
- Degra's death.
- Ending of "Zero Hour"
- Ending of "Azati Prime"

That the character of chemist, B'Rat Ud (Rajiin)
was never given a Star Trek spin-off of his own.

For me, the most shocking moments of the series were, for starters, in "Azati Prime" when Archer learns that the Xindi are supposed to be our friends (incredibly shocking at the time), seeing the ship on the brink of destruction in the same show, seeing Degra murdered later on in the season (one of the boldest moves I've ever seen in Trek), and the ending to "Zero Hour," if only because I thought that the character who turned out to be Vosk was, at long last, Future Guy. And here they were, finally showing him to us!

Alas, it wasn't to be. Would've been so cool... :(

a shocking event for the characters i suspect was toward the end of future tense when they saw the vulcan ship after being attacked by the tholians.
remember the vulcans had the ships that everyone else seemed to respect and fear even the suliban.

and the tholians had carried out a precision attack that left life support intact but had taken out communications and engines.

I think the most shocking thing would have to be the Enterprise returning to Earth, but then noticing that they weren't responding to any signals and that there were no space stations or ships in orbits. Then Trip and Mayweather get shot out by biplanes...Followed very quickly by Space Nazis.

It felt so much like a dream. My area didn't have the WB so we got it on syndication on some channel every Saturday night. When I woke up the next morning I wasn't certain if I had dreamed the end to Zero Hour or if it had been real. I watched the episode again and yeah, it really happened that way.

WHen Riker paused the "program" in the finale and I realized that all the spoilers I had read were true!

To me the fact that "TATV"'s final moments with the Enterprise flybys from different eras and that moving music was a shock. After all, almost all the rest of the episode was a thudding anal probe with cold clammy hands.

HOW POORLY Trip died was a shock. Even the Beebs have written better crap than that and in worse shows.

Sadly, it didn't surprise me at all given how poorly the episode was going... And the fact that I had been spoiled on the bbs
