Most powerful scene in Star Trek withouth dialogue.

I did a similar thread in the TNG forum and got some great responses. The question is, what do you think is the most powerful/moving scene in Star Trek without a single word being spoken?

Some examples from the TNG thread include: Sarek's concert experience, The BOBW starfleet graveyard scene, etc.

I will start with a general Star Trek example.

When the minefield to the wormhole came down, the look of hopelessness on the faces of Rom, Kira and the rest of the resistance personnel was fantastic. It was like the consensus thought was "well that's it, the war is over." I wasn't entirely impressed with the writing of the prophets just winking the entire Jem H'dar fleet out of existance as I think it downplayed the significance of the scene.

Chekov in the agony booth in Mirror, Mirror always played as pretty powerful to me. Then again, anytime Walter Koenig had to scream (which he did a lot in both the TV shows and the films) it was always pretty convincing.

Except for that one time (I think in Day of the Dove), when Checkov is letting out a god almighty scream on the bridge, but he's got his mouth in an "Ooooohhhh!!!!" shape. Looks so silly.

Thinking back like I did in 1982, before knowing what was to come next, seeing Kirk huddled down on the floor in engineering, as Spock died and slumped down against that glass.

At the time, I really didn't know if Spock would be back, so I was really, really moved.

The long arduous journey that Kirk takes from the bridge, to get to Spock dying in engineering, all the while, the music builds relentlessly, & you know it's not going to be good

"Jim, you'd better get down here. Better make it quick".

Glances at Spock's empty chair

Quickly steps into the turbolift... Shot of the Genesis planet

Running down the corridor... Shot of the Genesis planet

Literally shoves a crewman out of the way. Does an all hands slide down the ladder, & runs to the site & stands in stunned silence until they have to stop him from charging in

It really is the perfect buildup to the heartbreak of the death scene

Yep, and all of that with the blood of a teenage trainee staining his uniform tunic that just happened to be the nephew of his Chief Engineer. Tough day for all involved.
