Most Overrated Character

Which character is the most overrated?

I'm looking at this list...and I don't think Ezri is overrated, because the crowd tends to be very mixed in their reactions to her. Same goes for Jadzia. So I can't really say either is "overrated." Jake didn't really get very much memorable air time, nor was he ever really hyped up in any way. The rest were awesome and deserve to be highly rated. So the correct answer is "none of the above."

I don't think any of them were overrated. Jake didn't get enough exposure to be overrated or underrated. He was just there. Everyone else was great.

It's hard to say who was overrated on DS9 so just from process of elimination I said Sisko. He was a great character and Captain but a lot of it does come down to Brooks' acting.

I'm not sure that any DS9 characters were really overrated*, as I think of it, so I chose Jadzia by default, because she was the series regular I cared the least about.

*I think Vic comes closest, but he wasn't on the list, so...

I think all the characters got their fair share, Sisko was a little stiff in the beginning , then he branch out and became awesome.

All I ever heard from Rick Berman and fans, was what a great job Colm Meaney did. I didn't find his character very friendly or likeable. I don't think he added much to the series.

Indeed. I find the fact that anyone likes him at all to mean he is overrated, because his whole existence on the show never felt anything but forced to me - almost as though TNG had decided to make holographic Joe Piscopo a recurring character.

I feel strongly enough about Vic as my choice that I am abstaining from the poll due to his absence as a selection.

I think a better thread topic would be: CAN A DS9 CHARACTER BE OVERRATED? Which for me the answer is a loud, emphatic, livid, vehement, bold, underlined NO!!! I honestly can't vote because my vote would go to Ezri just because I dislike her the most of any of the characters listed. BTW, where are Vic, Rom, Nog, Leeta, Garak, Dukat, Damar, Weyoun, Female Shape shifter, Kai Winn, Kassidy Yates, Keiko O'Brien and Michael Eddington? I figure if I don't ask, someone else will because they'll want to vote for one of them.

I think Vic was to DS9 what the doctor was to Voyager...the holographic character.

Yes, Leeta. If I had to chose one character to be the most overrated, it would be her. Little development. Family? Friends? Interests other than Rom or her job? "Oh, Rom!"
