Most famous openly gay (American) actor?

Why is thinking someone's gay a "bash?"

I guess Aragorn thinks that it's bad to be gay.

Or maybe just bad to be *called* gay when you're not. Wouldn't it be understandable to be a tad pissed at that?

I don't really think that's understandable. Why would I be pissed if someone thought I was gay? They may be misinformed but I don't really see why anyone would be upset over that, just tell them the truth if need be.

So, you think I'm offensive. Great.

:shifty:

Eh?

If it is an acceptable reaction to be *pissed* when someone says you might be something that you are not, then it follows that the trait is something bad. If you're pissed at the thought of it, it must surely be an offensive thing.

I'm mistaken for straight all the time. I've never been pissed, except when I've then been molested by straight girls. But I wasn't pissed off that they thought I was straight, I was pissed they thought they could keep grabbing me after I told them to stop...

Maybe not the most famous, but my favorite would be George Maharis.

Who would'a thunk it?

Here are some others from the past-

-Marjorie Main (Ma Kettle in the Ma & Pa Kettle series)

-Patsy Kelly (1940's stage and movie actress who came out in the 1940s-suffered by being relegated only to Poverty Row movies made at companies like PRC and Monogram; was a sporadic lover and housekeeper of Tallulah Bankhead.)

-Spring Byington (December Bride radio and television show, was companion to Marjorie Main)

-Sheila Kuehl (played Zelda Gilroy-the "Betty" to Dwayne Hickman's "Archie" [Dobie Gillis] and Bob Denver's "Jughead" [Maynard G. Krebs] in the classic TV show The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis)

-Jill Esmond (one-time wife of Laurence Olivier)

-Jackie “Moms” Mabley (well-known Afro-American comedienne)

Has anyone mentioned Harvey Fierstein? (I didn't read the thread)...

Anyway, I liked his character in Independence Day....

Colin Ferguson stars in "Eureka;" he's openly gay. Although born in Canada and a citizen, as well as British citizen, he recently also became an American citizen.

Will the US recognize triple citizenship? I thought they had a hard enough time with duals.

Unless it's changed in recent years, I always heard that people can think they have as many dual citizenships as they want; but the US only recognizes ours.
