I'm sure I forgot some. BTW Does anyone else think Kong and Alien really snuck up on them? Or should I cut the booze...

Instead of going through the movies chronologically, I'm gonna list them in order of personal anticipation, with the movie I anticipate the most at the top.

- Wonder Woman
- Justice League
- Shin Godzilla (here in Germany, limited theatrical release in the first week of May)
- Valerian & the City of a Thousand Planets
- The Dark Tower
- Kingsman: The Golden Circle
- Blade Runner 2049
- King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
- Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi
- Thor: Ragnarok
- Bullyparade: Der Film
- Spider-Man: Homecoming
- Alien: Covenant
- Murder on the Orient Express
- The Mummy
- God Particle

T2: Trainspotting and Logan are out already (here in Germany, that is), so not much to anticipate there anymore. Some of the lower titles on that list I'm merely interested in, probably won't watch them in a cinema.

I must say, 2017 offers a better crop of movies to spend money on than 2016. I'd probably go broke seeing a lot of these.

Sequels... sequels everywhere.

And some prequels, reboots and reimaginings for good measure... :D

Nothing wrong with a good sequel/prequel. Reboots/reimaginings are more mixed, but not necessarily bad. Give me a good sequel to a good movie over an unknown original movie any day of the week (not that I don't enjoy original movies, but I'll always be more excited for a sequel or another entry in a franchise like the MCU then a totally original movie).

March:
Logan (Seen it)
Kong: Skull Island-On the fence
Beauty and the Beast
Ghost In the Shell

May:
Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2
Alien Covenant

June:
Wonder Woman
Transformers: The Last Knight (TF5)

July:
Spider-Man Homecoming
War for the Planet of the Apes

October:
Blade Runner 2049

November:
Thor Ragnarok
Justice League

December:
Star Wars: The Last Jedi

There aren't that many I'm interested in this year and I'm not sure if I'll get around to seeing them anyway. I find myself more interested in older films these days.

Kong: Skull Island
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Alien Covenant
Blade Runner 2049
Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Since we've gotten some new trailers for Spider-Man, Planet of the Apes, POTC 5, Justice League and Thor now, I wanted to see if any person's opinions have changed on some of the upcoming blockbustes this year.

Justice League, Thor and Wonder Woman has skyrocketed up my most anticipated list, although Episode VIII is still #1. Spider-Man Homecoming has fallen down to the "Movies I'm not really anticipating, but will definitely see at some point" category.

I've edited my list, taken those out that have been released by now. The only other change is switching Thor and Spider-Man based on the latest trailers. It's weird, the first Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer had me more excited than I had expected, the second trailer turned that excitement into almost-indifference.

We've already got our IMAX tickets to see GOTG2. We can't wait for that.

But certainly Star Wars is on the top of the list.

Wonder Woman, Justice League and the new Star Wars are the only ones I'm anticipating as in I'm really, really , really looking forward to seeing them, but I'll go see a bunch of those other ones as well. :techman:
